It was port 80 I'm sure. Did you try to connect via ONVIF or the Axis Camera driver? -

Axis is the most widely compatible of any camera line. I can't think of any third party VMS software that doesn't support Axis. They wouldn't stay in business very long if they didn't. -

Absolutely! The only thing worse than Arecont is the older GE stuff! I have 2 sites that I manage that are 1500+ Everything that dies gets replaced with Axis. New construction gets axis. The new Axis Q6114-E, Q6115-E, and the just released Q6128-E PTZ cameras are off the chain. And they are 1000.00 cheaper than the Q6042-E and Q6044-E PTZs. The Q6128-E is a 4k PTZ. The hospital I manage is all Avigilon. And that product has been flawless. -
I would do a low gate with a mag lock on it like Gym's do. Or some type of open turn style.

Too short of a run for Single Mode. How many POE ports do you need on the switch? -
Help Regarding Fibre Optic Cables and Media Converters
ssmith10pn replied to tdk1988's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
You don't have to worry about lightening with fiber. I would use 62.5 Multi Mode with 850nm SFP modules, and switches with SFP slots. Media Converters is just another part to fail. What kind of environment would the switches be in? -

They have a mix of new and old GE stuff. All the old stuff is getting replaced. All the new GE stuff is rebranded Hikvision cameras so they work just fine. Interesting. I wonder if Hikvision Cameras will work with a Interlogix NVR? -

75V can kill with right current So can a 9v battery but the code considers anything below 75v Low Voltage. -

If it's a fire wall then yes use the metal cut in box. If it's not a fire wall then use the plastic ring. -

If you have a current SMA with Genetec you should be able to upgrage to 5.3 SR3 (The current version) If all your cameras are compatible with Avigilon then that would be an option too. -
