    wireless IP camera

Even if it's wireless you still have to get power to it. So your probably better off connecting it to a wireless AP instead of depending on the camera for wireless.
  2. Sure you can. If the camera requires POE+ you will need a separate injector between the camera and the switch unless your switch is POE+ POE+ is 30 watts of power instead of 15 watts.
  3. I service a Casino that uses EMC² Isilon. They have 18 Virtuals and a Petibyte
  4. Check your private messages.
  5. Yes FCWNX replaced Secure Perfect and it works with Micro 5 PX, PXN, or PXN+ Micro 3000 with PX, PXN, or PXN+, Micro 2000 PX, PXN, or PXN+ and Direct Door.
  6. Where are you located? FCWNX has a pretty tight security key process for there software. The software is free but you have to have a license. If they are PXN and not PXN+ You will have to have the special data cable and a program called flash tool to configure the controllers with hardware address and IP address.
  7. Secure Perfect was end of life about 5 years ago. It was replaced with Facility Commander WNX to be retired in 5 years. How many readers? What version of Secure Perfect?
  8. I'm guessing you not only have to forward the port but also put a security policy in place for that port in the security section.
  9. What make and model router?

Anyone tried a Rasberry Pi for one or two cameras?

See if this link works. I'm not sure if it requires a login. https://gtap.genetec.com/uploads/documents/6f7b9e52-3a75-4ec2-ae36-ee4aeccb5359/en.sv-16v2%20quick%20start%20guide%202.10.pdf

  12. Whenever we setup pin codes for groups of people and not just one person we put expiration dates on them and cycle new numbers weekly or monthly.
  13. Maybe China put a contract out on him?
  14. There is no way I would put a Dahua camera in a government building period!
  15. I couldn't find an installation manual, only a user manual. Maybe under the options tab of the controller config? There is usually a check box of something along the lines of enter credential and or pin. You would select Credential or pin. Then you would either punch in the credential number or create a second credential for a person with a 4, 5, or 6 digit number to be manually entered.
  16. What about door contact? The PIR should have a double pole relay in it. Have one side close to trigger request to exit and have the other side open to break mag lock power.
  17. All Cisco 10gig switch gear. EMC² Isilon Back end. Petabyte of storage. On Genetec Security Center for video and Genetec Synergys Access Control.
  18. Axis sells direct say it ain't so Did you do the math on that check they had to stroke? They are up to 3000+ Axis cameras now. 25% are PTZ.
  19. We have a customer that is an end user and is a certified Axis Partner. It's amazing what you can get accomplished when you make an initial order of 1100 cameras. Mostly 3367VE and about 400 Q6032
  20. You can't see 1 tenth of a point in LUX.
  21. Beats the heck out of 10 pages of Hikvision and Dahua problems.
  22. Your English is hard to follow but again they don't have distributors.
  23. Let's look at it this way: If there is already a Mercedes dealership in your city or near that city are they going to give one to you? There are several marketing models and they all work. Some products go direct, some go through distributors, some use a partner alliance. Any integrator that has a brick and mortar building they do business out of and a staff of more than one person and there isn't another Avigilon partner down the street will have no issues becoming a partner. How would you feel if you ran a business that employed a staff of 40+ and had a overhead that would choke a horse and Avigilon gave a partnership to your competitor that works out of his truck? I'll bet all of these guys are Avigilon Partners. http://www.security-net.com/locations/
