  1. This is the most confusing part of Avigilon for me. They've taken this elitist approach to selling their product line, which I have no problem with, but I don't see how it leaves them room to expand. Their marketing campaign was successful enough for people to hear about them and want what they're selling, but people are starting to get frustrated with not being able to get the product in their hands. Not a problem for Partners. It would scare you how much Avigilon we do a month.
  2. Mine's working fine. But I didn't update " title="Applause" /> " title="Applause" />

    3367VE - Alternatives

Hard to beat. I like their mounting system and wire bulkheads better than Avigilon.
  4. Just the IR from the camera. They are doing both sides at the same time. They are doing it by zones. If the car isn't registered for that zone it pops. If they don't pay their ticket then it will pop for that and then it gets booted.
  5. I saw a grey market price of $1,600 and guessed the installer's price would be in the $2,500 range. I'll take two if they will work with our Avigilon server. Not unless you use the analog out and connect it to an encoder.
  6. That looks like the Arecont Demo photo.
  7. And btw that camera is about 2500.00
  8. It has an 8-80 lens so it does have potential. However Messoa is not on the supported list of Genetec or Avigilon.
  9. Most integrators sell at MSRP. There are no distributors. Integrators (Partners) buy direct from Avigilon.
  10. Give me 24 hours. I'll get you all I can. Can you find out what type of output the card reader has? I'm assuming it's a normally open dry contact.
  11. I had a 30 minute visit with the parking services people at one of the Universities I do service work at. They cruse the parking lots with a Auto vu system with the Sharp X cameras. I asked them if they had any trouble with plates that had red letters. Alabama Disabled Vets and Volunteer Fire Fighters tags are red letters. They said absolutely not. They said the have more trouble with Florida and Georgia Tags with the Peach or the Orange in the middle giving them bogus numbers. They have problems with the University Tags like this picking up the additional letters.
  12. We have Ge Legends, GE Symnets, and Vivoteks that have out lasted their servers. Most were installed in the 2007 - 2008 era. They slowly drop out one by one. About 1 or 2 a month out of 600.
  13. Audio, POS, and LPR channels are all additional licenses.
  14. Disregard my comment about using a digital output. You won't have that ability with this system. http://www.altronix.com/products/product.php?name=AT4

  16. Oh and BTW. We have done maglocks on bifold sliders too.
  17. We do it all the time. If the door doesn't have a carriage lock then you have to do a mag lock. Most of the time you coordinate this with the automatic door vendor. We put the exterior motion on a digital output with a schedule. If it isn't a 24/7 365 facility then you have create holidays too. Valid badge read fires a dry contact relay that activates a TDM (Time Delay Module). The TDM Relay 1 breaks mag lock power. The TDM Relay 2 closes dry contact to door motor activation with about a .2 second delay. It gets really fun when you have ADA buttons in play too. Then the exterior button lands on the TDM input also but it's shunted by the scheduled DO. The interior button and the release at the desk lands on REX (Request To Exit) I had to do one with Motorized doors, Von Duprin Concealed Vertical Rods electrified, ADA buttons, and wireless remotes for the severely handicapped. My favorite is Man Traps or Air Locks with read in read out
  18. Well I found an old P3301 laying around, Upgraded to the latest firmware. Found this under system options. Did a time sink and it still wont connect via Onvif. Says user name and password incorrect.
  19. Well that was a big waste of time. M7001 doesn't have I/O ports.
  20. I brought home a M7001 Encoder to test. More later.
  21. Verify your PIR dry output is normally open and goes closed when It sees motion. Sometimes the labels on the PIR's are wrong because some of them go by when the PIR is powered off and some go by when it's powered on.
  22. I'll dig deeper when I get home tonight.
