Avigilon license upgrade
ssmith10pn replied to VPSrider's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
4 to 5 was easy. One camera license and you were golden. Now with 5 to 6 it's a cost per camera. ACC 5 to 6 Standard is 15.00 per camera MSRP. ACC 5 to 6 Enterprise is 30.00 per camera MSRP. -

If they supported what you are asking of this camera it would pointless for them to offer Edge Series cameras and recorders. Their edge cameras have storage and ACC server on board. -

Unfortunately the customer doesn't seem to see the difference between quality product and "crap". -
It will generate plenty of heat on it's own. I would be more concerned about summer. I hard drive's life is significantly reduced if it is exposed to temps above 90 degrees. There is a reason why data centers are kept so cold.

Wiring Help - Wiring a Door Operator to a Washroom Kit
ssmith10pn replied to domatic's topic in General Access Control Discussion
Ok so every thing will work with 24v DC. You need a 24v DC power supply 3-4 AMP should be fine. Don't try to overwhelm yourself. Just address one thing at a time. Inside and outside buttons look straight forward. Push to lock button is straight forward. Door contact is easy. Strike looks fairly basic. -

You will need a power supply probably not supplied. Is your electric strike 12 or 24v? Fail Safe or Fail secure? -

PTZ Auto Track PC Software for IP PTZ Camera?
ssmith10pn replied to WFS-Serv's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I wouldn't put too much effort into it. Auto tracking gets old really really quick. It's cool for a couple weeks but then you will end up turning it off. -
Sounds like your password to the application is wrong. Totally different than logging into the device. I think there is a password reset in the IVMS software with the secret questions you had to enter when you set it up.

Do you have a gateway in the 172.x.x.x NIC? If you do remove it. Make sure windows didn't configure the 192.168 NIC as a public network. -
