    Avigilon vs Sony?

That camera is also right at a G dealer cost.
  3. The Adaptive IR is pretty sweet. I have the 2mp version on my driveway.
  4. I would also venture to guess that the extreme conditions (Salt) could be working on your RJ45 connections on the Nano stations.
  5. Looks like your using the cablemodem/router for a switch? That could be the bottle neck.
  6. Also can you diagram the physical network layout? It doesn't have to be a drawing but as much detail as possible.
  7. Any thoughts on why the Ubiquiti speed test gives pretty good (50-55 MB/s) speeds and LAN SpeedTest gives such a low write speed? The Ubiquiti speed test shuld be 135 to 160 Mbps. Don't get Mbps and MBps mixed up. Also was the camera load on the network when you did the test?
  8. Make sure the LOS is ok on the radios, Check signal strength and make sure they are still pointed correctly. Last but not least make sure the radios have the latest firmware.
  9. I went into a Tier 1 supplier plant for Hyundai. We do their Access but not their video. They had Vivotek cameras and Qnap NVR solution. Hearing them you would have thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. LOL!

    rs-485 combined

Should be a termination switch on the keyboards. It should be on with the keyboard at the end of the chain and off with the keyboard not at the end of the chain. The keyboards have to be addressed too.
  13. Was this system an Omnicast 4.6 to 4.8 system Migrated to Security Center? Or has it been 5.2 from the start? How big is the system? Camera Quantity Number of Archivers Dedicated Directory Server? Any Federations? Please give some more details about the network. Have you considered going to SR8?
  14. Where are you located?
  15. I Install Axis and Avigilon every day. This forum has become dominated by "do it yourself" people that wouldn't consider spending that kind of money. In fact I'm scheduled to install a Axis Q6042-E Monday to replace a GE Legend Dome, and install a P3367-VE to replace an old GE Rugged Dome. It's an 1100 camera system managed by Genetec Security Center with about 400 Legacy GE cameras that are dropping like flies.

  20. Yes, or you can only connect it to one camera and cover the other camera in the VMS alarm rules. "If camera A receives an alarm camera A and camera B record for xx seconds"
  21. The camera only has one input but you could wire 2 (or More) PIRs outputs in Parallel and if either one trips it closes the circuit.
  22. The connector comes with the camera. It's in a bag in the box that the patch cord is in. I may be able to scrounge one up if you can't find it. You would connect the NO of the PIR to pin 3 and the Common to pin 1. In the DI/DO configuration page you would set DI 1 to open as inactive. I will have to get a P series camera web gui open in front of me to verify the settings. Before connecting your PIR to the camera verify with a continuity tester you have an open circuit with no motion and a closed circuit with motion.
