  1. Just remember the tab is ALWAYS down on RJ 45's I have been doing them for 30 years and I'm really good at it but I would still rather punch it down to a jack and use a patch cord. Patch cords are made of stranded wire and much more flexible.
  2. We use the Ubiquiti Nano station M5s and make a wireless bridge.
  3. So throw a little money at it. Get a new drive and this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832416804
  4. What was the drive letter of the existing drive and what is the letter of the new drive?

    Avigilon US sales

There are no distributors. It's direct from Avigilon to Partner to End user.
  6. http://www.iscwest.com/
  7. Several of the people that know the answers are at ISC West so there might be a delay in a reply.
  8. It all depends on what's in the traveler cable. I have done 50 story elevators with RG6 that was already in the traveler cables. You have these but they are fairly expensive http://www.axis.com/products/cam_acc/media_converters/cam_t8640/ We use these: NVT 1701-Kit1 http://www.nvt.com/content.php?type=product&key=ec1701kit1&cid=root We use this camera because it's Black, and low profile. Most of the elevator cars we install in are more than your house. http://pro.sony.com/bbsc/ssr/cat-securitycameras/cat-secnethdcams/product-SNCDH110%2FB/ If the car has low ceiling we use these http://pro.sony.com/bbsc/ssr/cat-securitycameras/cat-secnethdcams/product-SNCDH110T%2FB/
  9. I hope Kawboy12R doesn't have a man crush on me. Sure did mention my name a lot in this thread. I don't sell software, although I'm privileged to work on some of the systems that have some of the most user friendly software out there so maybe the police can solve your murder before you get put in the ground.
  10. Let me know when you find a camera that doesn't do it.
  11. Those screen shots are in low rez. Anything above 5MP you have to drill in before you see the his res stream.
  12. Have you tried to get to the DVR from the outside with just the WAN IP address? So have you been in the customers router or not?
  13. The DVR absolutly has to have a static IP on the local network.
  14. I always put the DYNDNS info in the router. That way it makes things simpler.
  15. That's a very good camera. And 15fps is plenty to get tags on cars moving less than 40mph.
  16. I'm sure your behind a firewall. You need to put the dns info in the router and forward the appropriate ports.
  17. I prefer a proven camera and design that has been doing it for years. http://us.boschsecurity.com/us_product/02_products_3/st_bu_f_277305_tams_catalog_prod_us/st_section_f_277382_tams_catalog_prod_us/st_chapter_p_277382_tams_catalog_prod_us_279277 Then you can put that camera on an encoder and use software of your choice.
  18. In that situation I like to take a 16:9 and rotate it so it's portrait instead of landscape.
  19. The Axis Q series PTZ's are awesome on Avigilon. I have a client with 10 servers full of Axis cameras on Avigilon. In ACC 4.12 buy default Axis cameras had no motion fields selected by default. In ACC 5 the whole field of view is selected by default.
  20. We use 3 PTZ cameras so far. Axis Q6032 (The RJ45 is difficult if you haven't done one before. Read the instructions carefully!) Panasonic WV-SW396 (has 12' of cable that you have to find some place to put. Not POE) Avigilon 1.0W-H3PTZ-DP20 (Awesome camera, but not sure what VMS will connect)
