    Access control brands

I'm in training this week for Genetec Synergis which uses HID EVO Edge and Vertx EVO
  2. Most IP cameras other than the bottom of the line have Inputs and outputs on them.
  3. I'm surprised your getting 7 days out of it.
  4. There is about 40 more boxes just like that on the same campus.
  5. I have a hand full of these cameras set to static IPs with a 255.255.252.0 subnet mask. They will randomly change to 255.255.255.0 with IP locked box checked and applied. Any ideas? Of course I know when they do it because they go off line.
  6. Sorry for the confusion. It's a EMC NS480 NAS but since we are using HBA cards it sees it as a SAN. I agree direct attached storage is the best. We do a lot of that too.
  7. What method are you transporting the data to the NAS? If your doing Ethernet that's your problem. We switched to HBA and all our troubles went away and been running for 2 years without a glitch.

    Frame Rate Comparison

Since the Panasonic frame rate video vanished I have been unable to find one. If you have a better one I will edit this post.
  9. For all you that THINK you need 30fps
  10. Did teaming before. It's not nessessary and will cause more problems than its worth. You will hit software hardware limits before you get close to 1Gbt.
  11. Personally I would configure the ADSL modem in bridge mode so your internet didn't have to go through NAT twice.
  12. That network connection looks Mickey Mouse.

    Access control brands

The heavy hitters are: Amag Software House Lenel Next step down: Sielox Honeywell GE Topaz Cboard yada yada yada
  14. Yes they do. 800-444-2947 If you have a Partner ID it gets you to the front of the lunch line.
  15. If your wanting to use a 5mp camera I'm guessing your wanting to cover a large area. If that's the case I doubt the IR will cover the entire area. You will have to light it with auxiliary IR lighting.

    Aiphone and twisted cabling

That wiring got in there some how. Should be easy to replace because you have a pull wire. The ones I have installed we used the AiPhone supplied wire. It's a heavy gauge 2 conductor solid wire and then you can use anything for gate release.
  17. let me try to explain how this works. 2 terms are commonly used when it comes to IR. IR corrected and IR cut. IR cut is a filter that drops in during day light to filter out light waves above the human eye spectrum. If it was in at night the camera would not see any IR light. This IR cut filter was necessary on Analog cameras but not as much on Mega Pixel cameras because it's like looking through a screen door on Mega Pixel Cameras. As far as I know IR cut filters are in the camera and not in the Lens. IR correction is a feature built into the lens to help minimize focus shift from day light to IR light. I do not believe your issue has anything to do with filters.
  18. Are you sure that's not some protective film on the back?
  19. A drawing of 2 separate NICs as was stated above.
  20. Not a lot of details here... IP address of the server DHCP scope of the router Subnet Mask Brand and model of the switch Are the cameras on static IPs? If so what are they?

    Can you guess the analog?

    That's going to leave a mark. " title="Applause" />

    Can you guess the analog?

300 dollars is a generous number and Retail not cost!
  23. POE is 48 volt so it can carry more power over a smaller wire.

    Can you guess the analog?

Forward the cameras through the firewall just so you can get to them from the outside? Are you freakin kidding me? That is the dumbest idea I ever heard of. Stuff like that is what separates the trunk slammers from professionals.
