    Avigilon Native Export

In shoplifting and prostitution cases I have been involved with the Defense required all the information I stated before trial in discovery.

    Avigilon Native Export

Correct, And in a criminal case the defense will and can pick it apart if it's not in Native Format. They can easily claim the video has been doctored. Native format eliminates that. The defense will require you to document the manufacturer of the equipment, the chain of custody of the export, and the credentials of the person exporting it. Been there done that.
  3. Well that's below cost that's for sure.
  4. You got my curiosity up so I searched Ebay for Avigilon. Some of those people are nuts. Some items are almost double MSRP. Other items are close to in line.

    Avigilon Native Export

You must export in .ave (native) to hold up in court.

    Can you guess the analog?

That sure is a lot of bandwidth for an analog camera.
  7. What kind of message do you get?
  8. I have a hospital with 2 VM servers and 10 Avigilon servers. About 400 cameras. All running on the hospital switch fabric with a seperate Vlan but not blocked because all the clients are on different Vlans. Never had a network related problem in 3 years.
  9. I don't think that answers his question completely. Your asking (for example) if you can connect to a Server with a Core License and a server with Enterprise at the same time? Hmm Interesting. Never tried it.
  10. im yet to see 10k sas drives in avigilon servers and expansion units. all the ones ive installed are 7.2k drives. Your correct. I was confused with the EMC√ NAS storage drives I use.
  11. I don't see where the software would even know it's on a virtual box. I have Plenty of Avigilon in here.
  12. Describe the remote connection. Over the internet with ports punched through a firewall? VPN over the internet? Direct link? Also did you turn off auto discovery on the client?
  13. I have a customer running 16 encoders on 4 monitors using core. (that's 64 cameras) You configure the views like you want and then you close the program. It writes that configuration to a file in C:\users\user name\app data\roaming\avigilon\auto_saved.dat If you log off the computer or shut down the computer without closing Avigilon client first it will not write to that file any changes from the last time you opened it.
  14. If you arrange the client like you want it and close the program it will open back up the same exact way.
  15. Nothing compares to pixel search in Avigilon.
  16. On the 10TB Avigilon/Dell PERK SATA servers which are RAID 5 it takes about 24 hours to rebuild under full load.
  17. I think we both misunderstood each other. Yes the cut filter is to take out ambient IR in the day time which is really not an issue with megapixel cameras. The IR correction is to help with focus shift when using a IR source for light at night.
  18. IR correction has nothing to do with it. You have no IR. You need to tweak the focus at dusk when the iris is wide open. Back in the analog days we would focus through a piece of welding glass to get the iris wide open.
  19. Some food for thought here. I have a 50Mb internet connection. My Residential Avigilon Server has a 100Mb Local Network connection. Using DU meter my total camera recording stream is about 30Mb. When I run speed test to the internet on this machine I was getting 15Mb internet speed. I moved the machine to a 1Gb port and repeated the speed test. I got the full 50Mb internet speed. This proves that performance gets drastically reduced before you get close to the ceiling of the specs.
  20. It is. It just flat works day in day out 24/7 365

    Alarm input output

You mean like: When camera A input is triggered pull up camera X in alarm window and set PTZ to preset #5 and require acknowledgement with explanation?
  22. I didn't know HD buffer had anything to do with it. The recommended 256Mb limit is on an enterprise class server with 10,000 RPM SAS 6Gb/s Hard Drives in a Raid Array.
