  1. Take a look at HID's EasyLobby. We are Integrating a EasyLobby system with Lenel right now. It's a very granular software package. Makes checking in visitors very fast and easy. It has a data conduit between EasyLobby and Lenel or other Access Packages. As you check in the visitor it adds the credential to the access data base with the access rights you determine, and when they check out or time expires it pulls that credential back out. https://www.hidglobal.com/visitor-management
  2. I sure he's covered up with work in his own back yard like we are. To many Hospitals, Universities, Local, State, and Federal Government projects to deal with "Joe" from Chicago that wants a 1mp dome on his front porch to see if the neighbors dog is peeing on his grass.
  3. I picked up the 2mp bullet today. I'll decide where I'm going to put it and install it tomorrow.
  4. Well there is one advantage to using PIR. They don't trigger when the sun goes behind a cloud.
  5. The only decent tracking camera I have seen was an Analog Dynapac. It had 3 fixed cameras telling the PTZ where to go. On a slightly breezy day it would track the hell out of trees.

    How about some nice pictures?
  7. I good vandal resistant, WDR, indoor Analog camera is 300 bucks.
  8. A 16mp Nikon D7000 will only do 24fps @ 1920 x 1080. Just sayin. That's a 900.00 camera body + Lens

Sounds like a digital input board for alarms.
  10. I suppose he was referring to DMZ. Anyway, DMZ only works on one IP, so that's not a big issue. No, He was talking about opening up the telnet port on the router and someone coming in from the outside. Unless the telnet port is forwarded to the specific IP of the camera and the camera has the gateway configured Telnet will not work from outside the LAN. That is what NAT is all about.
  11. Opening the port does nothing. You have to forward the port to that device. And if the device doesn't have the gateway in it, it still wont work.
  12. No It's being lumped in with a bigger order so I don't have to pay freight. Still finishing up that order.
  13. Yes but a second lane is half that.
  14. I can't tell you how the software side works because I don't know but the camera has filters on it to only see a narrow spectrum of light that the IR is in. That way any other light source won't affect the image.
  15. We use the REG-D1 on encoders. http://www.boschsecurity.us/NR/rdonlyres/BCA3C2AF-D146-4470-BBB1-A75778F11EBC/9087/REG_QuickGuide10_16_094.pdf
  16. If you don't use a camera specifically for tags your wasting your time. And not a Geovision Tag camera. it sux.

    Stanley GDX HELP!!!!

Can you explain what your trying to do?
  18. You could do it with something like an Altronics RBSN relay but it's really easier to add a second contact unless one of them needs to be wet.
  19. GE had it right with the Micro 3000 16 readers, Di and DO board in a 18 x 18 can. Sadly it's being phased out by Lenel which I freakin hate their hardware.

    This lens ok?

I have to respectfully disagree. We have had an awful time getting good pictures on Avigilon 5MP box and dome cameras. The focus is so touchy you can never really nail the focus. Fujinon on the other hand is much better. The Fujinon DV3.4x3.8SA-SA1 is an awesome lens with good feel on the focus mechanism but it is a C mount though. It seems like the IR cut filters hurt daytime image quality on the higher megapixel cameras.
  22. Avigilon has a rack mount bracket to hold 3 encoders in 1U Avigilon 4 channel encoder requires ONE license. That should be the win right there.
