If you already have a port then there is no configuration necessary. Just go into readers and name it. You will need a F2F reader. UTC T-500 model 430209003

We use the PRM4 surge module chassis and PNETR6 modules. You can also use the PNET1GB for a single run. http://www.apc.com/shop/us/en/categories/power/surge-protection-and-power-conditioning/surge-protection-devices/protectnet/_/N-1r8hw9s -

100 meters by cat5 or cat6. Several companies make extenders to go beyond that. Protectors are a good idea. -

ssmith10pn replied to newhulkhuithem's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
This^^^ Also the new tool fires up a DHCP server if one is not present. If he is just trying to discover cameras I think the old tool is better for the OP's solution. -
Avigilon IP camera
ssmith10pn replied to newhulkhuithem's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I know it's the old one. I was trying to keep it simple for the OP. Since he didn't know where to find it tells me he doesn't have much experience with Avigilon. The old tool is much simpler for the task he is trying to accomplish. -

You could use the hinge if you want to. They hold up ok. They generally get broken during the installation process. http://www.securitron.com/en/site/securitron/products/power-transfers/eh-electric-hinge/ -

Maybe use metal wire mold down to a single gang box and then use a armored cable to the device. http://www.securitron.com/en/site/securitron/products/power-transfers/tsb-c-door-cord/ -

I don't think you will find a single VMS that will support Windows Mobile. However, Your phone may possibly work with the Avigilon Gateway through the browser. Try going to your server via http://serverip/acc in your phones browser. -
