I am needing some of the same info. Run power on cat 5 seams ok but IR Unit Hmmmmm Need to look at what camera pulls for example 700ma and what IR unit pulls 1 or 2 amps. I have been thinking about laying out a test and checking it. Cat 5 burns up easy, just look at what it did to i think it was the MGM casino fire. I always wonder if it is posible to enhance a fhoto or a car liecense plate. I have gone down this road for a long time and always wonder if there is a service for this.

I was wondering how much can they take. I work arround a lot of diferent power supply's that put out different voltage's. How much can a 12 volt camera take and what is optimum voltage.

Example: If you have a 700ma camera. How far can you go before you jump to say a single pair 16 gauge.

Thanks cctvikegata but we are very happy with these camera's and do not want to look at anything else right now. Sold 2 more camera jobs today. We do more than anyone else in town. Word of mouth here has traveled so much that we can not keep up. Thanks

They are a no name knock off. Why ask if you are in CHINA. I thing you can get anything there you want a lot cheeper than us here in the United State's.

Looking at 64 channel units. Need something to use on 4 32 inch tv monitors. Do not care about audio. Setup motion so buzzer in control room will get them to look at monitor.

They do have same camera without IR that you can buy Now i am curious why not buy it with IR. Works great for me. Teach me something, i need to learn why.

The fail rate has been 1 out of 100. I had 1 stuck on B/W and one would not go into menu setup. They have been great. I will have to think on the IR some, i realy have not noticed a problem.

Gamma goes from .7 to .45 if i remember corect. They are a 1.2 amp camera so i have had to use power supplys to cover this. Yes but they swap Like for Like and then keep the old HD. So i just bought a new HD and kept my old one. Saved a little off of it so far. 800.00 is what they charge to send it in to a clean room for data recovery.

Only looking at the camera end of it now. Probly go 350.00 installed per camera. Dvr 2,400.00 PTZ 1,800.00 installed Little markup for Battery backup, balum's, Power Supply. and misl. stuff. Probly 9,500.00 in material

Remount the camera. Would be nice to see plate. Work on field of view.

I have been given the job to fix a cluster ****. at a correction's facility. One old building and one new building. Camera's have not been done by CCTV people too much. I have a lot of Wrong (1 camera's (2 lens's (3Location's I have been working on a map. Fixing what i can. Will lood later on moving some around where they will work better. Used a lot of camera's that have a 4-9mm when i need 2.8. Used bullet cams inside when i need them outside. It is a mess. After a few days i am still trying to find out what to do.

Did you contact the installer. Or maybe you installed it. Call manufacture TECH help and give them the serial number. Did you happen to give it to someone else that would remember. Was it with CAPS on of off.

What is used to go 1/4 mile to a mile. They have an 18 gauge wire run that a customer has been using for that camera. They have had surge protection problem's. I think they said there Balum's are working ok.
