AVTech AVM459AP/F28F12, where to start?
Errol replied to Securame's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Default Password should be user name:admin password:admin and if he downloads VideoViewer 0.2.0.6 Software program on the computer and connect the cameras via a poe network switch to his modem the software program will search for the cameras automatically or you can download a IP Scan tool. Another option is to purchase a avtech 4 channel nvr which is much more stable. If you need links just let me know. Cable Description Power cable Connect to DC12V power supply. Note: The power adapter is optional. RJ45 network cable Connect it to the supplied RJ45 cable extender adapter for cable extension, and prepare another RJ45 network cable with suitable length for your connection. GND Ground wire, used for reset default or external device connection. Alarm-in* Reserved for connecting to an external alarm device. For details, please refer the user manual of your alarm device. Alarm-out* Reserved for connecting to an external alarm device. For details, please refer the user manual of your alarm device. RESET Remove the insulating coating of this wire, and twist it with a ground wire together to reset default. This will reset all parameters, including the IP address to factory default settings. Note: Disconnect power before twisting these two wires together, and connect to power again for reset default. -
The model you have is AVC-796B. The Z is just the region they send it to and The D on the end means it contains a DVD burner. The latest firmware version that I know of is v.1014. Be sure to make a full backup of previous firmware to you're computer prior to installing this latest version. It is extremely important that you follow the paths of files correctly and in order, otherwise it will not work.

IP Cam Needed for Monitoring Driveway
Errol replied to vabch22's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I just recently changed my front driveway camera to a AVTECH AVM357 1.3MP IP Camera. So far been very happy with it. It has IR built in which really lights up the area. I however also have motion sensor flood lights which when activated changes the camera from black and white to colour again. I have attached a day shot (raining) and night shot (total darkness apart from a street light about 35 meters away) I still have my true day/night analogue camera beside this one just in case. -
Maybe I should try another way of upgrading the system. Is there any? The only other way is through their CMS "VideoViewer" or copying the files directly using a USB Stick. You might be better off getting another HDD that is compatible.

You need to make sure that all the BIN Files are extracted correctly. You need winzip first then extract the files. ie to the "desktop". It is very important that the firmware BIN Files are in correct order for the firmware to correctly update the dvr. KPD674B_1017.rar this is the one you need. The path will then be 1017-1003-1009-1003 The correct order is: AppImg_4.bin fboot_4.bin kernel_4.bin xml_4.bin Make sure you backup your dvr first incase anything goes wrong

Just looking at your address bar you seem to be missing your port number at the end of your ip address

Simultaneous monitoring of several Cpcam/Avtech DVRs
Errol replied to realpe's topic in Digital Video Recorders
What we do is local network our dvr's to a pc in our office and then when you want to access the dvr's remotely you just log in using teamviewer or logmein and access VideoViewer which then accesses the dvr's
