You need to replace the button battery in the dvr to fix the date issue.

That model is not a Eazy camera. You will need to press manual and scroll to bottom of the screen and select local search.

What model Avtech IP camera is it?

Default Password should be user name:admin password:admin and if he downloads VideoViewer 0.2.0.6 Software program on the computer and connect the cameras via a poe network switch to his modem the software program will search for the cameras automatically or you can download a IP Scan tool. The model you have is AVC-796B. The Z is just the region they send it to and The D on the end means it contains a DVD burner. The latest firmware version that I know of is v.1014. Be sure to make a full backup of previous firmware to you're computer prior to installing this latest version. It is extremely important that you follow the paths of files correctly and in order, otherwise it will not work.

I just recently changed my front driveway camera to a AVTECH AVM357 1.3MP IP Camera. So far been very happy with it. It has IR built in which really lights up the area. I however also have motion sensor flood lights which when activated changes the camera from black and white to colour again. I have attached a day shot (raining) and night shot (total darkness apart from a street light about 35 meters away) I still have my true day/night analogue camera beside this one just in case.

Maybe I should try another way of upgrading the system. Is there any? The only other way is through their CMS "VideoViewer" or copying the files directly using a USB Stick. You might be better off getting another HDD that is compatible.

You need to make sure that all the BIN Files are extracted correctly. You need winzip first then extract the files. ie to the "desktop". It is very important that the firmware BIN Files are in correct order for the firmware to correctly update the dvr. KPD674B_1017.rar this is the one you need. The path will then be 1017-1003-1009-1003 The correct order is: AppImg_4.bin fboot_4.bin kernel_4.bin xml_4.bin Make sure you backup your dvr first incase anything goes wrong

Just looking at your address bar you seem to be missing your port number at the end of your ip address

Just installed version 1012. I was wondering what the upgrade was or if any new features were added as I can't see any difference from version 1009???

What we do is local network our dvr's to a pc in our office and then when you want to access the dvr's remotely you just log in using teamviewer or logmein and access VideoViewer which then accesses the dvr's

Forgot to mention that will only work if you use teamviewer or logmein to connect to the host computer and use VideoViewer.

Videoviewer will run 16x16 channel cp cam/avtech dvr's on the one screen. Why would you want a third party software?? unless you have more than 256 cameras.

The D means DVD burner built-in. The other would only have network and USB plug-in Personally I would go with the AVTECH over a SWANN.

Just tried to update this latest version and got the upgrade error aswell. My model is CPCAM CPD551ZB with version number 1003C-1001C-1002C-1002C

Will this version allow for rewind while playing the footage? Sorry meant to say in the player.exe PlayerLiteHJ the rewind arrow will not let you rewind while in playback. Mpeg4 models use to do it but not H.264
