    Video Streaming Issue

Hi Guys, Please Help I've got a 16 channel AlienUltra DVR sitting in a Villa in Italy, it has 9 cameras attached and has been working fine with remote viewing from England without any problems. The Internet isn't the quickest, it's 1mb down and 300Kb up, but it's been enough. The Villa had an older Italian ADSL modem that didn't support DDNS so I had a PC left on that was updating the IP to the Dyndns account and it's been solid so far. I recently sent over a new ADSL modem, it's a Belkin that does support DDNS and remote management and I set it up for "Alice Italia" which is the ISP. Once plugged in everything lit up quickly and was working nicely, all the port forwarding etc. When you view the camera either through the webpage or through the provided software, the video doesn't stream anymore. The time flicks forward 1 second and then all you get is a picture. This happens on all channels 1-9! I've ran a speed test on the Internet, nothing much has changed in terms of connection speeds and it pings @ 130/140ms mostly from my PC in England. Any help / ideas are much appreciated. Regards, Danny

DVR Remote Web Viewing Issue - AVTECH 760

Hi, Thanks for your reply! When I say it "bombs" out..IE doesn't give me "page cannot be displayed" the page gets stuck, the progress bar and the foot of IE gets to halfway and says "opening page http://##########.." but never progresses any further. I opened all of those ports mentioned, checked them with the site you recommended - whilst the DVR web port was set to the matching port number I received a "success" message. There is no way to turn down the firewall on this modem. Ensured I was using IE 7 or above (it was actually IE7). Adjusted all of the IE settings as suggested! Still no joy!
  3. Hi Guys.. I've got an odd DVR issue that you maybe able to assist me with (I hope). OK, so I'll take you through this step by step...I've set a static IP address 192.168.2.50 on the DVR and the router I have forwarded port 4481 (random, have tried many others) - I have a Belkin router, set virtual server inbound port to 4481 TCP & UDP 4481 as the private port as the portforward site suggests and I've set the DVR web port to 4481 also. DDNS has been setup and working fine on the router. OK so internally (http://192.168.2.50:4481) it works fine using Internet Explorer - all works internally with the software as you'd expect. Now - it works externally if I use an mobile phone application (IP Viewer for Android) and when I use the shocking "Video Server E" software externally, it works fine. When I attempt to view it via the web...it just tries to connect but eventually bombs out. This happens regardless of browser used, IE, Firefox etc. I've tried several different ports and tested them all using the DYNDNS port scanner - they always appear open - even port 80. I tried adding the IP address of the DVR to the DMZ - still the same problem. Any suggestions would be just grand! Many Thanks! Danny
