People usually only want to start fixing when someone gets hurt. That is the saddest part.

Why would a casino put an ad on craigslist?

The sad thing is the picture rory shows is not the worst. I have seen work in a 16 story COOP building that's on par to whats shown if not worse. - Wires in the back tenant storage area dangling from HOT steam boiler pipes. - DVR's installed at doorman's desk who likes to eat and drink coffee there. - Camera Power Supply's installed in an unheated garage at easy access to vandals. (No camera watching them either) - On and on...

Cut the guy some slack... He is a senior citizen. When you get to be his age you will be happy just to get on a ladder. -

I would tell him to clean up the wires. If my building was in a high crime area I would appreciate a person taking security measures for the building and the community. -
Put some LOUD sirens tie them into motion sensors which you turn on at night. That should reduce crime by your house.

Anchors for Hanging PSU in Cinder Block

Hollow blocks are usually back filled with concrete. Also the head of the nail will be holding against the metal casing of the PSU. Why make this into an engineering "Modern Marvel"? -

You guys are all over complicating this. Drill your hole on a downward angle in the block, then you will be even able to support you PSU with nails. -
Wow... Do you have their phone number? I could give them referrals.

So what are your favorite hidden cameras? Has anyone ever used this style camera by doorbell?
-
If this doesn't solve your problem and you have not this problem with other cameras then its time to get rid of this Samsung nightmare. It is ridiculous to have to go through such a nightmare to get a expensive camera like this Samsung to work. Not even that well I may add.

Copper or Aluminum?

That is a mess. However why would they pay you to clean it up if it works? Company's rarely like to pay for something that doesn't directly benefit them.
-
Sure go ground it to the water main. I don't have my DVR's grounded. If anything power strips have a built in surge suppressor.

Very messy install. He should take them down and put up the cameras inside bird houses. More discreet. As far as I know "YOU HAVE NO EXPECTATION OF PRIVACY ON PUBLIC DOMAIN OR AREAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC". -
Good Luck!

Each channel is "isolated" from the next. If a problem is on one channel it doesn't affect whole system. Like your homes circuit breakers. If the breaker in the bathroom trips because you dropped your hairdryer in the sink, your bedroom lights stay on.
