Residential install, need camera recommendations 8ch

I have tested dozens of camera models. I would strongly suggest something with a 700tvl Sony Effio CCD. It has one of the best night vision with IR of any camera. Dont waste your money and buy junk... -

does a 'brick housing' exist?
nDAlk90 replied to ljarrald's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Seems pretty simple. Make a steal box the size of a brick with a top, bottom, back, left and right side (the back, left, and right side could all be one piece with the left and right sides bent to 90 degree angles). Then weld the top and bottom to this piece and attach your clear cover to the front and whallah... -

What an idea. Make some and if they are good I want a sample. -
Avigilon is very intuitive... Avigilon Support staff was very friendly... P.S: OnSSI, your version names need to be simplified (In my opinion). A customer shouldn't need an explanation on which version is the most simple and most advanced.... Why do some company's make confusing model numbers / version names?
-
Avigilon has three versions Core, Standard, and Enterprise. Its fairly obvious which one is the most basic and which is the most advanced right? Now we go to OnSSI and what versions do they have? Hmm... PS, IS, CS, ES... WHAT????? Are you kidding me???

I had a BMW and an electric seat stopped working.. Does that mean anything you buy from BMW will have same problem? Anything from eBay is not good? (Just making a point)

Are any of the wires from the baluns broken?
-
We don't have a lot of breaking but more then with RG59... Again... Everything is relative right... Customers sometimes move DVR's to clean or to extract video... More breaking baluns then broken RG59 connections right? But I do like the suggestion from survtech and ssmith10pn of patching cat5e into a 110 block and then switching it over to stranded wire or RG59... That's a good suggestion...
