Hi, I found that I needed to be on port 7000 to make mine work. so the url is http://10ex.dnsalias.com:7000 then if you have a login screen try "guest" "password" to have a look.
  2. At present I can upload an ftp file but I cannot see any pictures. I just see an html file. I don’t know how to make the file show an image. It is an 8k html file. Motion_20110401151423.htm QUESTIONS When I look it is just some kind of javascript. Is there a posting document which explains how to use this file? Is the password the same as I use on the actual DVR with the mouse or is it a login user password? What software is necessary to look at the files? Is there a youtube video showing what is supposed to happen and what settings this software depends on? Many Thanks The model is QV-8104 The serial number on the back label is (000E53199417) I have attached the text of an html file and it is possible to see the file at the link "http://www.helico.com/cams/test2.htm" with login test2 and password test2 I needed to set the permissions to R_XR_XR_X for all to see it. Similar file is attached and for safety the extension ".txt" has been appended.
  3. Answer - I think the windows scripting file could be used to login and show the pictures. I dont know that language however. More generally, is there any technical discussion of the software on the DVR? If there is we could probably publish some mods to the eprom or the firmware files. In the meantime, maybe you know the trick to making the DVR ftp files show images. I just see javascript so I don't know what is missing. Thanks for your help.

I suggest you give out the password and let others try to log in and get it going for you. Barry
