    Pelco DX3100 Remote Site

more information on mac address can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAC_address then change hex to decimal. HEX -> Decimal 0-9 represent 0-9 & A-F represent 10-15 in decimal. example of changing hex to decimal: "F3 is equal in decimal, to (15 × 16^1) + (3 × 16^0) , or 243." hope this helps
  2. does it still work with the 6ft cable? make sure the cable is connected correctly, i.e Tx+ from DVr connected to Rx+ on the Camera and TX- to Rx- check if any settings have been changed on the dvr eg: protocol. hope this helps
  3. Hi Andy I've seen working pictures of AV8360's, they are a neat camera. Licencing depends on the NVR or VMS that you are using, we use DVtel & these cameras now only require one licence. hope this helps.
  4. Hi Need a big hand sorting out a pelco VMX-300 video management system. The problem is that cameras are freezing every 1-2 days (Cameras are pelco spectra dome ptz's, DVR's are pelco dx8000/8100's). every so often when the video freeze, it comes up with an error message "Switch Error" on a random window. The only way to get the video back is to close the vmx client, then shutdown the pelco dx8000 device drives (there are two device drivers on ports 2075 & 2076). Then to restart the device drivers and start the vmx client. Since this product is obsolete, there is limited support available from pelco. Although pelco have suggested to uninstall the drivers & reinstall them. It appears this is not easy to do, since the device drivers hold all the information about the DVR's & cameras they are connecting to. Can anyone help me with this problem? Kind regards Sri.
