Does anyone here have any experience with the Everfocus EI350? Looks ok but we have not used this brand before. Thanks for your input.

Hi- If you have not gotten your cameras installed yet, please pm me. We are on L.I. but do a lot of work in Queens.

Some of the bottom screen shots are definitely Kodicom. You get what you pay for.

Sal- I'm with you but the guy is a builder and lives in $2.8mil. spec house out in Bridgehampton -he's trying to sell and he does not want any tracks or drilling. It's one of those-I don't have much money but I want the fancy toys. A Pain in the a--. If it wasn't for the fact he now preinstalls our systems in his new construction, I wouldn't try to placate him as much. I'll see if I can get some heated bullet cameras with vari-focal lenses. Thanks for your input. By the way... I was by your shop in Merrick the other day. I was going to stop in to see what you guys have but I didn't have time. Maybe next week. Are you in sales or tech?

Thanks Rory... I hit the submit by accident on the the last post. There is an attic space and a closet available. I'll check out the website. Thanks for your help...

Thanks Rory, What would you use frequency wise. The longest distance will only be about 40 - 50 ft. The house is in a semi-rural area without too much interference. I was thinking about an outside antenna, but I'm still at a loss for the "Heated" part of the camera. Will the outside bullets be adversely affected by the heavy morning fog problem? Also, do you know a distributor for those cameras in the U.S.? Thanks-

The only thing you need to worry about when using cctv in public is illegally monitoring audio. Eaves dropping can be a nasty little offense. Anyone or anything in a public space is open game and there is no "perceived or expected privacy", other than conversation. That's why it's called being out in public. Most states are the same when it comes to this.

You can try an external usb connection server for the cameras. They will usually do 30fps per channel, have most of the features of capture cards and work with AMD processors.

Kodicom Diginet Full Backup

There is an update depending on the card you have. If its a pirate, it will crash the system. You are better off trying another card - even though you have the 4 camera card already, you're just going to end up pulling your hair out. I tried everything and finally scrapped the card. I use NetVision's cards. They work well and they monitor this site to give help to anyone with their software/hardware. -
NetVision video drop

I changed all the settings and saved them individually, then rebooted the machine. Everything works very well now - Thanks! -
I've got a problem. I have two net vision cards (4004CE/4008CE) in a Compaq computer with 512mb ram, P4 2.9 processor. The first 4 channels are clear but anything over that has video drop across the bottom of the screen (about 20%). It does not matter which card is in the first pci slot, any camera after the 4th looses signal at the bottom of the screen which looks like a jumble of colors. Any ideas?

All of the cameras are set up the same was (NTSC) I double checked. Thanks for your input though! As a matter of fact, when a camera is plugged into 5-8, even though it is saved as NTSC, when I check the setup, that particular camera shows PAL. Even though the camera works normally in 1-4 and 9-12. -
Kodicom Diginet Full Backup

The 4.11 software bites. You'll never get the full back up. We eventually pulled the cards because even 1 minute of back up could take 10-15 minutes. Forget a full back-up. -
You could try using a separate infrared array to shoot next to the fade. Maybe even a nightshot camcorder. If the picture restores, you have a dying infrared led. Most of the time the leds last about 3-4 years in bullet cameras. Just a thought...
