  1. The slingbox AV looks like it will do exactly what I want. One source, not HD, stick it on the network! Bonus, not hugely expensive. I'm not terribly concerned about controlling the DVR, that would be nice though, and it might work. Thanks!
  2. I have a 4 camera, dedicated DVR that does not have a network interface. I know now that it was not the best purchase now that I know a little more. However, I have it and I'd like to add the ability to view the video over the network. Is there some type of device that I can buy to add this capability to my system? Also if there is such a device is it so expensive that I'd be better off going with a new system that has this capability built in? Thanks!
  3. I have a decent AMD VIA based system that I'd like to use for my video server. It's an HP SR1124NX AMD 2800 (2.08G) via KM400A chipset with 512MB of RAM. I've been looking and according to both Geovision and Avermedia they do not recommend VIA chipsets. Does anyone know of a PC based DVR surveillance system that will work on this platform? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, MFM
  4. Have you tried the GV600? I would really like to go with the 30fps if I can.
  5. I have read that but on the Geovision web site it clearly states "Note: GV-250 is currently not compatible with VIA series chipset motherboard." If I use it with a VIA and have trouble would I get support?
  6. So I get from this post that at least two folks from this forum have dealt with [edit by mod-non retail link removed]. I'm considering buying from them. My concern is that according to the GeoVision site they are not an "authorized distributor". Is this something that should bother me? Thoughts? MFM
