you can also try and use the geovision database fix utility (i forget its actual name but you should see it in the geovision folder). I had this same problem with my gv1480 but mine was caused by a power outage while it was loading up. I used the database fix tool and it fixed the problem.

hey, I just got the email sending me the link for the new geovision 8.0 beta software. The email was kind of vague and said that it was "demo only". Does this mean it is not fully featured? I want to go ahead and upgrade my system but if I end up erasing my full version in place of this demo version, I really don't want to do that. Thanks.
