I've considered it, but the cost of converting all of our analog cameras (~14) to digital would be fairly high when I looked at the cost of the video encoders. The other option is a video decoder to use the new IP camera with our old system, which would cost a lot less, but not give us recording on the other cameras anyways. Eventually, we would like to move everything over to IP but will probably hold off on any major changes until we know if we're moving to a new location in the next year or two. I do have a computer to use for recording the IP camera.

Yes, we're currently using an old analog system. The new camera will be kept separate from that system though.

I'm looking to install one HD IP Camera at work. Currently we use a bunch of old CCTV cameras which we hope to replace later on. I want a camera that supports POE, has a high resolution, and has build in audio. The camera will be set about 12ft above the ground and should cover a wide area. We were looking at the Axis P1347, but wanted to check here if anyone had other suggestions. I don't want to spend more than $1400 on this camera. Thanks
