    Colour interference problem

Im thinking you might have a power supply issue. since it only happens at night, thats when the camera uses more power since the LEDs are on. also you indicated that more than 2 cameras, you have a problem. It would probably be best to have a power supply box rated to at least 5-10 amps or at least individual power supplies (instead of a splitter)

My router wont recognize my dvr

assuming you are behind a router, just enter a static ip into the dvr. port forward the correct ports from DVR to the IP you just specified on the DVR.
  3. you can "stack" the newer Geovision 16 channel cards to get 32 channels. make sure you buy the right model (and firmware)

What are the benefits of CCTV?

you need to install the DVR and cabling professionally. if you hide as much of the cable as possible and install the DVR in a good spot then you will be better off. the thief doesnt want to spend much time there....

No video, but camera leds are on?

did you measure the voltage? you cant just go by seeing the red light on as being ok. since you are using cameras w/ LEDs, they use slightly more power. do you have the cameras going individual power supplies or a power supply box? did you try another camera in the "bad" location? if so did it work? if not then its either the power or somewhere in the cable. you can also try swapping the location behind the dvr to determine if its DVR related (bad port)

    not seeing cameras

sounds like a configuration problem and uninstalling the software will not change that (some files are kept). you need to goto geovision and get a manual for your card. It will come in handy anyways, but will show you how to add additional cameras to the ones that are setup.

    Colour interference problem

is the camera bracket touching any metal in that location? what kind of cable is it? premade RCA or coaxial? it maybe something in the attic (high voltage wires, always cross at right angles) Premade RCA cable is not so good and has no shielding. I once had a problem with metallic reflective paper on a warehouse ceiling, which cause some weird issues.
