So I currently have a pre-order standing for two of the HFW3200S Dahua cameras. Originally I was told they would be out the end of February, then I was told the beginning of March...now it is the end of April. My vendor does not seem to have any other info, just figured I would reach out to folks here to see if anyone else had some insight. Thanks! -Eric

Sorry for my delay in responding. I am running BlueIris and had turned on motion overlay while I was testing the camera. I usually run it for a while to see what is triggering the camera and tweak my motion sensitivity settings.

Here is another offering. I just installed it to replace a Sony SNC-DF80N, haven't decided if I am going to swap it back yet. It is really soft around the edges...I mean, I would say out of focus. Check out the area of the hibiscus. Well, after pushing K&D CCTV for an answer, I received this email today: Now I am quite irritated, as I paid for this order back in February and it included other items other than the HFW3200S. Ohh well, I guess that is the risk trying to deal with someone in China. I have already requested a refund, hopefully I do not have to go through PayPal's process.

Interesting NTSC references an CCTV analog camera format...these are obviously IP, and HD. Buellwinkle are you referencing a test/monitor output from the camera? Or am I totally missing the boat here.

Just an update, emailed my rep again and once again...they have no idea when the camera will be available.

Hey everyone, I am thinking my computer I am using to run Blue Iris is beginning to meet the top end of what it can handle. Would it be more of a video card issue, rather than a processor or memory issue? I apologize for my ignorance here. I added a Panasonic WF-SF336 to the current setup which consisted of: Axis M1113 Axis M3204 Sony SNC-DF80N My current computer is a Dell Optiplex 755: Windows 7 4GB Memory (Max) 3.20Ghz Intel Pentium D 32 Bit system I have also looked into just biting the bullet and getting a dedicated NVR. Right now looking at a Dahua NVR3816. I had also looked at only an 8 channel model, however from what I understand if I want to record all at higher resolution, I would need the 16 channel version. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

I posted this over at cam-it.org and didn't really get any ideas: http://www.cam-it.org/index.php?topic=3682.0 I have been having an ongoing problem with BI with video recordings freezing. Example 1 Example 2 (FYI I tried to embed these, but kept getting an error from Vimeo even though I had embedding enabled.) You can see that the video freezes on both cameras when triggered. I originally thought it was just a playback error in BI, but when I exported the video it was the same. I also have a hard time reproducing the error, it seems to just happen randomly, but more-so overnight and in the morning. I checked to make sure that there were no system processes scheduled during that time such as the antivirus scan or a defrag check. Here is the dedicated system I am using: Dell Optiplex 990 Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-2600 Quad Core Operating System: Genuine Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit Total Memory:16GB PC3-10600 DDR3 1333MHz Memory Hard Drive: Patriot Pyro SE 120GB SATA III SSD External Drive (Archive): 2TB WD MyBook Graphics: Intel® HD 2000 The freeze is normally around 5-10 seconds. It will play for a bit, and then freezes. 1 Camera is a Dahua IPC-HDB3200C (Ceiling Porch) The second is an Axis M1114 (tighter) However this has happened at least once on all of my cameras. Which are different models and brands (Sony, Panasonic, Axis, Dahua) This is what leads me to believe it is an issue in BI rather than a specific camera issue, or integration with specific camera. Any ideas?

Thanks for the tip. I still have a mixture of brands, and this problem was happening even before I threw a Dahua camera into the mix. I am almost ready to simply try constant recording. Yeah, it will be a storage nightmare, but it may be a better route.

An Update. I checked, the drives are not sleeping. I placed an internal drive inside the machine, and it still has the problems discussed before. However I did make an interesting observation. When motion recording starts on a group of cameras, the frame rate drops to almost 0 in the "stats" windows for all of those cameras. I checked, and the switch is not reporting any errors, and shows it is only peaking at 40% port utilization at max. It is a Cisco Catalyst 48 port POE switch, 10/100 and I am using the gigabit uplink port to connect to our router/switch (Cisco RV180-K9-NA) which the BI machine is directly connected to via a gigabit connection. Now I am just scratching my head.

It does it randomly on all cameras attached to the system. Everything is connected via a Catalyst Express 500 Series POE switch, and I do not see any errors in the syslog. I thought I had set the external drive not to sleep, however I think I may just get another drive and put it inside the machine and set to archive. To see if that eliminates the problem.

I don't believe it is. Did this effect things when it was being used for archival purposes as well?

The highest I see it go is when it triggers a group with 3 cameras at once, and it goes to 60% but that is pretty rare.

New clips are recorded to the SSD. Once the folder hits 20GB they are moved to Archive, located on the external drive.

Hey kouroubel, just for reference I previously had 4 cameras, two running at D1 resolution and 2 at 1280×720 all running on non-gigabit switch over a mix of CAT5e and CAT6. There is a gigabit uplink on the switch that connects out to the network, however that's it. They were being constantly monitored via Blue Iris, so they were running all the time. No issues.

You could use it for an IP video intercom Or even a IP camera that is wall mounted. The possibilities are limitless if you can get the drop on the network.

FYI, as an update to this post I did end up upgrading the PC. ProcessorIntel® Core™ i7-2600 Quad Core Operating System Genuine Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit Total Memory 16GB PC3-10600 DDR3 1333MHz Memory Hard Drive 120GB SSD Graphics Intel® HD 2000 Now BI runs like a champ. I occasionally have a problem where a camera starts recording on a motion trigger and freezes after 3 seconds or so, however I don't know if this is a machine or a camera issue. Overall much happier with the system upgrade.

I looked at that Cisco model, however it only has 4 POE ports. Many of the 8 port models in that range that have POE only drive 4 ports for power.
