I think danweber is being too fussy, about icrealtimes pro dvr You just have a look at the playback quailty of this dvr ( the best i have seen ) if you can find a dvr with that quailty for that price, give me a shout because i would like to see it If you have not connected up to internet, you have not seen the brilliance of this dvr, bringing up live video in one screen and bringing up playback in a another without any breakup it is fantastic!!! also if you connect up a PTZ and see how fast it moves with the click of a button Every DVR has it downs, NO dvr is perfect but ICR Pro DVR is not too far short at the moment Finally the noise of the dvr is down to the fact it has a Blackfin Processer for every channel and TWO Motorola processers, I have no connection to ICRealtime, but i buy a few DVRs off them and find the support is superb and the product the same

No-Ip is a good choice but you have to have your computer on at all times for the software to update, but some routers will also update No-Ip, i use No-Ip all the time for most of my clients if they have no Static IP

i would go with the ICR line without a doubt, there are easy to use good quailty and the support is top class, the flex are well priced i think, but if your looking for D1 Quailty you go with the pro line you might pay little bit extra but you get the ultimate in DVRS

Hey we bought a load of stuff from mace last year, but when we asked for any type of support from them we got nothing, one time we asked for spare power boxs to replace a few faulty ones, they said there offices got damaged by hurricane, this was 7 months after the f******* hurricane They have the worst support ever, when you buy couple million off them you expect some small bit of support they have too much money

Getting back to bad and good hard drives WirelessEye is saying that maxtor are bad hard drives and saying that seagate are good, now i am not sure but do Maxtor own seagate? O.K Maxtor give 36Month warranty and seagate 60month but if they stay going for 36month's they will more than likely stay going for longer I have used a lot of maxtor HD's before and had very little failures
