    Video clean up request

The next time you request an attempt to clean up a photo and I actually hunt through you photos and work on trying...I'll remember to ignore you.

    Video clean up request

As far as I could tell, this was your best capture. Could be enough, maybe not. I tried to clean it, but there's only so much you can do. Outstanding quality- possibly big side burns. Good luck to you.
  3. The IPC-HDBW3202P Set at 720p at the moment. This is also recording audio. Nice camera.

    Help with Digital Watchdog DWC-V1363TIR

You have to be certain you get motion recordings for things you actually want- such as people. You can't just go for fewer emails and lower sensitivity and block so much that you won't pick up important incidents. You'll probably end up turning email off for motion events. For outdoor cameras, it's very tough. Email notification can be useful for such things as video loss and a host of other options that are good to know about asap. But motion emails will get old in a hurry. Good luck.

    Help with Digital Watchdog DWC-V1363TIR

Make sure you block out anything that might cause false triggers. Like I mentioned, the only other thing you could consider is separate PIR sensors, which will dramatically cut down on false triggers.

    Help with Digital Watchdog DWC-V1363TIR

Do you have the manual for the camera, and does it have motion sensitivity settings in the camera menu? We have DW cams that I've tweaked at work. You can get into the cameras menu by using the toggle inside the camera. You can navigate through that menu with it. But I don't believe there was any motion sensitivity settings in there- at least not in the ones I was dealing with. If you have set up the dvr for remote viewing, the easiest way is to just connect with a netbook or laptop and bring that out to the camera so you can see the menu and navigate it. As for motion sensing in general, you'll find that there isn't much of a solution for outdoor cameras except to use PIR sensors hooked up to the dvr and placed where you need them out there. They will launch recordings when they sense motion and they will greatly cut down on the false triggers that your dvr is throwing you. Edit- you know I see your cameras do have motion sensing in there. Just follow the manual to set that up.
  7. Interesting. Do you have a general link that posts all NVR firmware updates? That would be very handy indeed.
  8. That's the thing- the second period enables all by itself and the two become linked. And whatever you type in one side, the opposite is typed in the other, with no real separate control. Unless I'm missing something about how you do it, I believe this might be a bug. I'd like to hear from anyone who has done this successfully. It's this menu, and please disregard that it's qsee- dahuas have this menu as well. I'm dealing with a dahua NVR, not a qsee. This is just a pic of the menu I grabbed from another thread in this forum.

    Dahua cameras now at Costco

This is EXACTLY the problem I'm having at the moment. Anyone know how to get this done?

    Install help - hole cutting?

Camera manufactures need to get it- make the pig tail able to unplug to ease install. Otherwise you're stuck making a hole in the wall the size of an elephant instead of the size of network cable. DUH.
  11. Okay, so let's send up a flag. Maybe hire a plane to write the question in the sky so someone acknowledges it. WHO THE F IS DSD?
  12. I've not noticed cropping in the dahua IPC-HDB3200C, and IPC-HDBW3202. Every resolution, be it 720p, 1080p, and even D1 substream show the exact same fov. Is it that I'm not analyzing it correctly? I'm just looking at the live views.
  13. Send the camera in for a replacement- it has the soft right edge problem to begin with. Don't settle for that. Btw- where did the swann tech go? It would put to bed the guess work.
  14. Hey winkle, nice review on the cams at your blog. Thanks!
  15. The biggest plus for a hardware nvr box is familiarity and hard drive storage. An nvr is like a dvr- the same type of experience. But considering the file sizes you'll be dealing with, putting a large hard drive in the box is a must. I put a 3tb hard drive in the dahua I just installed and that should hold for a couple of months or more at a busy commercial facility where motion keeps it recording, but activity drops way off overnight and weekends. But I wouldn't settle on anything less than 2tbs. Forget a 500gb or even 1tb drive. If you're gonna get a box, fill it with storage room. You're gonna need it if you want some holding time.
  16. ALL HANDS ON DECK!!! " title="Applause" /> LET THE FLASHOLICIOUSNESS BEGIN! Still got the soft right side on this camera though....and the camera still reports as a swann im going to go plug it in my dvr and see what it says lol http://youtu.be/scgCr0rf7Kg DVR sees the cameas. Quality doesn't look any better or worse...Don't know if that's good or bad. Video was taken indoors. at 2048x1556 @ 3073KBPS There was too much movement to determine whether or not the right side is still soft. The other thing that comes into play is 'dumb' IR. Just like in analog, smart IR is preferred. To me, if you're gonna move forward in price with IP cams, you can't throw away the rule book otherwise you're defeating the purpose. In which case, you have better resolution of a picture of someone blasted out by IR. I know the camera was right in front of you but it's likely the same will happen when installed. And then what did the whole upgrade, or even just the cost of a new system really gain you in terms of surveillance? Not much. You can't just stop at resolution and call it a day.
  17. http://www.dahuasecurity.com/products/ipc-hd2100--22.html It's only set at 720p at the moment. The client likes the picture and wants to conserve HD space. I'll try and get some 2mp footage too. I like this little camera a bunch. Hope it helps someone considering. vkDanWVQSiU bjlb85d_-aM FnbSMCbqqf0
  18. In terms of low light, you're waiting around for something that will never happen. No camera, be it megapixel or analog, produces really useable images in low light. Those that do either fake it or depend on IR in the camera- neither option being preferable. Want a good, useable image from a camera in low light? Provide light so it isn't low light. Help a camera help you. You wanna debate brand quality, fine. But using 'low light' capability as any sort of measuring stick isn't realistic in the real dark world. If it could be done, we'd be pointing every camera we own and taking shots with limited light and not caring. It just doesn't work that way.

    Dahuha NVR

If the lite version works, why not just use that? Why would you want to use the HD version? The lite version seems to have all the basics and works great.
  20. Finally some movement at night! LOL. TwLq-3V2DAQ
  21. Not that daytime is a challenge. I'll try for night shots shortly. n0Vafq-BBXQ
  22. I'm assuming you're talking the night shots. The camera is on default settings and since by nightfall the facility is empty, it'll have to wait until there is something to show. I'll be curious myself. The cameras are set at default, so I don't think there will be a problem. No special shutter speeds set, I don't believe.
  23. Well, I got mine from a retailer but I can't say who it is here or I may be flogged.
