    Exacq Web Server

Update: I pulled my server from the rack. Added the head. Downloaded, installed and configured the web server software for Linux. Fired the server back up and . . . voila - I'm in business. I then configured my router and I'm now able to access the system on my iPad 3G from anywhere either using Safari or the very cool Exacq iPad app. I'm very pleased.

    Exacq Web Server

Thanks for the information. Fortunately, the box running the VMS is a stand-alone server. All that it is currently doing is running the VMS. My clients are on my various household computers. Sounds like I shouldn't have a problem installing the web server on the server. I still am curious why it doesn't seem to run on the WHS box.
  3. Does anybody know if the Exacq Web Server will run on a box running Windows Home Server? I've got Exacq VMS running on a stand-alone Linux box and was thinking of having my under-utilized WHS box run the web server. I installed the web server on the WHS but it doesn't seem to be working. Alternatively, will my dual-core Atom Linux box be able to handle both the VMS and web server load?
  4. To confirm: My 8185DN's are all running 65166 firmware.
  5. Hmm. I've got 3 AV8185DN's hooked up to my server running ExacqVision VMS (Start). I'll have to check the firmware version, but the cameras less than 8 weeks old. When I started Exacq the first time, it immediately recognized and connected the 8185s. The only issue I've had is the slow reconnect time that's been discussed elsewhere. Even that's only been an issue if I make changes to the camera settings using something other than Exacq (e.g. the AV100 software or the camera's built-in web interface).
