  1. ok, thanks. I honestly had no idea about this sort of stuff! How about just some form of manual control box to control the zoom/focus/iris? would that be at all feasible? Ta for your help m_w
  2. Hi all, first time poster. My boss has recently found an old cctv camera / lens combo and has tasked me with finding out whether it is salvageable. They came attached together so i assume someone has had them working at some point. My job is to find out if they are compatible and then to re-wire all connections if so. Camera details: Hitachi KP-140 (http://www.hdeg.tzo.com/002__Cameras/Discontinued-Cameras/KP-140-Operation_Manual.pdf) Lens details: Cosmicar Tv zoom lens, C6Z1218M3 - 2 (http://www.pyramidimaging.com/specs/Pentax/C31211%20Spec.pdf?) My question is this: One appears to be a video control auto iris, one appears to be a dc control (I am completely new to this and this is just what i have managed to find out so far online, i may be wrong). Is it possible to use the 2 units together? We only require the auto iris control, not any auto focus and zoom which i believe the lens is also capable of. Thanks, m_w (p.s. apologies if the post is confusing or convoluted, i have never looked into this sort of thing before )
