  8. In Dedicated Micros DVRs can you explain how to find out ? As you guys told that there will be a signal loss , thats fine but how do the person knows about it , the camera will be placed somewhere else and the feed which is coming from the camera will be to the DVR , How do they know? Can anyone give us the clear answer on this, One important point which you have discussed is to protect a cable with some material so that no one can cut the cable , but in case if he cuts the cable which is being protected then how to find out ?? thanks
  9. If that doesn't happen then just restart the DVR or a camera , Hope it will work fine.

    Mirror/flip image

Hi , You can look into the camera webpages if it is an Analogue camera, You will find an option called Flip Image , select that to flip that image. Regards Mujju
  11. Hi can anyone tell me whether we can control the IP PTZ camera when connected only to the network , not to the DVR? Can we control it using the software which will be given by the camera company like , Netvu Observer by DM? or is it necessary to be connected to the DVR?
  12. Can anyone tell me what is Integrated Camera recording in IP camera? What is the purpose of it.......I was told that If the network of the IP camera fails , the Camera still records in its SD memory , Is it so?? or the concept is something different , like If the IP camera is connected to the DVR and if the DVR fails , then the camera starts recording in in its SD card?? which one is true , can anyone explain me in detail? Report this post
  13. Hi , Does anyone has any idea of Multicasting...I have seen an option of Multicasting on one of the DVRs , could you please tell me what is the purpose of it. Thanks and Regards

    IP Multicasting

Hi soundy, Have you ever used this option in your DVRs ? could you please tell me how it works? Do you mean to say , when the camera is sending the packets to the Network , does that mean many people can view the camera from its webpages? or is it something different? Thanks and Regards
  15. Hi Soundy , could you please explain this term in more detail Some can do other in-camera processing, like video analytics.

    PTZ camera doubt

Hey tom could you be more clear? What do you mean by PTZ controller, the one which would be with arrows on the Netvu Observer?

    dome camera cable

Also there will be a signal level on the camera itself , to make sure you have the signal level above >=50DB , if not then the video will not be visible to you
  18. I have seen in some of the IP cameras where the resolution would be VGA , so here in the specifications of IP camera , it shows 540 TVL why so , According to my knowledge TVL should come only in Analogue cameras am i right? or the answer is related to VGA , when we are talking about VGA display IP camera, does 540 TVL comes into account????????????? Please clarify
  19. Thanks a lot everybody for clearing my doubt
  20. Hi Rory ,Please look at the below concept of ICR, I am getting confused between ICR, IR Illuminators, Day and Night camera( which is IR sensitive ) , One of our customer uses a Bosch camera which is not exactly day and night camera , He has used IR Illuminator ( 64mts , 715nm ) but he is not able to see the video at night ? so what does he needs to do in order to see ICR (Infrared Cut-Filter Removal) works in two ways. On box cameras the the filter sits in front of the CCD module. The filter is rectangular in shape and is split into two parts. One side is IR sensitive the other blocks out IR to achieve the correct colors. It is powered by magnets to switch it on or off. When there is an electric field it will slide the correct side over. This is controlled by the separate ICR chip. The chip is activated by an external CDS sensor. So when it gets dark then the ICR is activated. Its kinda like the ones that turn on the LED's.
  21. Why do we require IR Illuminator? When a True Day and Night camera which is IR sensitive can sense the video at pitch dark condition then what is the need of IR Illuminator? Is this for a longer distance? like in a situation where we require the camera to view certain object at pitch dark condition or something else? Please clarify
  22. Hi Soundy/Jeromephone, Could you please clarify me , How can they do marketting if the IP camera doesn't require to have TV lines on it........Some of the IP cameras will have Analogue Output but that is just to check the ip address and the video would last on the monitor for about 10 minutes , after that the video disappears. So now tell me the clear answer why do TV lines come into picture when talking about IP Cameras? Regards
  23. I am sorry rory , please see my modified message which you got confused
