I have a 8 of these (VOM2000): http://www.intervid.com/pdf/VOM-2xx0.pdf And a few IP cameras several are axis (i'm unsure of the model) The rest are Cathexis. http://www.cathexis.co.za/brochures/cam-1101_h264_mini-dome_ip_camera.pdf Due to the unreliability of my DVR hardware, I am looking to build my own dvr with better hardware and some redundancy. The one thing I'm unsure about is what to do about the DVR software. Any suggestions as to what software is available that supports both IP and Analog cameras. From the pictures it appears the analog cards are using philips chips, if needed I can pull a card and take a more detailed picture. I also suspect the ip cameras are also rebranded. I'm looking to go this way rather than buy an all in one unit as I suspect it will be less expensive since I already have the analog cards. Thanks
