  1. You should look into GeoVision. For every hybrid system (analog and IP cameras) I use their software and DVR cards. You'd have to replace the existing board more then likely with any route you take. Most of the software out there is proprietary and only made for a specific DVR card. You'd also need to buy a 3rd party IP camera license for the AXIS cameras if you went with GeoVision.

    You should look into Brickcom IP based cameras. I've installed a few for clients of mine and saw that they could record directly to a network attached storage device like in your setup. I've never tested this feature of the Brickcom cameras though so I can't really vouch for its functionality. However in terms of image quality Brickcom's 1MP cameras produce a very sharp high quality image. You may end up spending a little more then £400 though.

I've come across this forum quiet a few times when looking up some of my un-answered questions in google and thought it's time I signed up to possibly give back to this great community here
