Dahua HFW4300S snapshot pulling stops after a while
Go3Team replied to oh6hfx's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I've got 2 Dahuas that will only take one snapshot and then stop. Camera 1 Software Version2.420.0007.0.R, build : 2015-04-09 WEB Version3.2.1.263030 ONVIF Version2.4.1 Camera 2 Device TypeIPC-HFW4300S Software Version2.420.0006.0.R, build : 2015-03-11 WEB Version3.2.1.256412 ONVIF Version2.4.1 Unless there is a different URL for getting snapshots off these cameras. -
I've been looking at the NVR4208-8P. I've googled around a bit, and had not found an answer to my question. Is it possible to back up / copy the video files off of the NVR onto a computer on the network? Are the files still .dav files like on PSS, or can you change them to another video type? Thanks.

Seeing what kind of interest there is for one of these. I still have the original box, I *should* still have the manual that came with it. I also still have the "dongle" that plugs inside the camera that allows you to change settings, focus, etc. I can also throw in a IR Illuminator if interested. $100 Shipped (US) / Best offers considered Some youtube vids of it in action: Hurricane Irene: Day / Night Changeover: Video Captured Today:

The video is written to another drive(s). I'm referring to the drive for the OS. Best, Christopher That's what I get for thinking you were talking about the data drive. Apologies.
-
I always hear that SSDs have a limited write capacity. With the amount of writing a DVR/NVR system will be doing, I'd lean towards the traditional hard drive. If write speed is a factor, consider a RAID 5 or 6 system, which will provide a higher write speed as well as redundency.

A little overboard, but Winamp / Shoutcast server?

I also built my own out of a busted halogen work light. I used 96 LEDs w/ 33 ohm resistors. I went to the low end of the forward voltage, so they would last. It is no where near as bright as what you had. I have 200 loose LEDs waiting for when I have the patience to build another one. This time stepping up the voltage a tenth or 2. -
2 X 100 Watts I think? Here is the changeover from day to night: Changeover from IR to Floodlighting: IR to No IR: (yeah there's some noise there)
-
Nah, my Altima has close to 270-280, and it came from the factory that way.

I don't have any low light color images of my VCM-24VF, I have these that are at night, one with flood lighting, and the other with IR lighting. Mine seems to do ok in low light color scenarios. Edit: Oh, and default factory settings as well.

What kind of interface? I've used a Kyocera that had a PCMCIA slot that you put the aircard in. I think they came out with a new model that was compatible with USB and Express Card type air cards. It didn't have a whole lot of range, but then again it was designed for mobile applications. If you could use the Kyocera, and have a PCMCIA type air card - PM me. I might even still have the air card - usable on the Sprint network.

Also I had to reupload a couple hurricane videos as the previous encoding I did with AviDemux along with Youtube's conversion to FLV caused the final frame rate of the video to drop drastically. I only did that with a couple of the last ones I uploaded as I noticed it with them, especially the color video and I didnt edit all with AviDemux. So not sure if the rest are all exactly 7fps or not, hard to tell, they may actually have ended up being a little less. But I think its close enough. 30fps D1 is nice, but comes with a price most applications dont need. I even have a couple cameras set to 7fps CIF, such as a front door, and a small gate area which is only used to watch dogs eat. I think the one I saw that sold me was one that was titled something like "______ switching to Infrared". I guess it was you in there towards the end. I was trying to see if there was any blurryness, but the picture was pretty crisp considering. Only with the quick moving stuff in one of the hurricane vids did it seem pretty choppy.

check out the CCTV videos on my hurricane thread, all 7fps. viewtopic.php?f=14&t=26844&p=164275#p164275 also this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3S-e12FmVAk Sitting here at work watching them on my phone, looks good enough to me on the small screen. I think I'm sold. I'm looking at the Qvis Apollo HD 8 or 16. Thanks!

I think I've chose what I'm going to get. I guess what I'm looking for is to see if anyone has a video @ 7FPS. The particular unit I'm looking at produces that frame rate, and I want to see if that will work for me. Thanks.
