  1. Finally i bought an AVC 798 and... the user online limitation it's TRUE. It's the worst limitation.... because have a 10 CONNECTION limit. Not user, not ip, CONNECTION. I check myself opening 10 vlc videos (rtsp://ip...), so ok, it's good, but when i try to open the 11th, vlc don't work, web videos don't work. I don't know the reason to limit to only 10 connections, but these is rubbish!! Anyone knows if it exists some firmware that can delete this limitation?? Thank you!!
  2. Hi! Someone know differences about Avtech AVC798 and KPD679? I think the only difference it's that AVC798 have DVD-Writer, and KPD679 doesn't have it. But I need to know for sure... Thanks!!
  3. Hi! I was looking for hours... about this question, and nothing in cctvforum or in google Some one knows it? I am planning to buy a 700TVL sony camera (1020(H)×596(V) PAL), but... i don't know if some DVR that can record up to 704x480, can play (in the air - Web utility - RTSP - Quicktime - Java ) videos with a bigger resolution. In this case, 1020×596. Thank you!! PD: Play =>Obviously not mean playing recorded videos. 4. Thank you for your reply!! Did you have some of this DVR's?? I have been looking for manuals/Specification Sheets for both devices, and i have found a new difference... KPD supports up to 5 users online, and AVC supports up to 20/10 users online (depends on the manual). KPD679: http://www.avtech.com.tw/image/product_pic/sheet/KPD679B.pdf -- 5 users online AVC798: http://www.avtech.com.tw/image/product_pic/sheet/AVC798BD.pdf -- 10 users online AVC798 http://scorpiontheater.com/Documents/AVTech_Manual_Espanol_AVC798_796_792_manual_V1.0.pdf (not english) -- 20 users online What do you think about this? Is it a software limitation? Is it a recomendation? Is it an estimate of the resource that can hold the device? Is it only to web access? or is it a limitation by IP? I ask this... because I'm planning to watch 16 cameras (one RTSP video for each camera) at the same time, by one user. Thanks!
  5. I don't know if you found the answer in other place, if not... Yo can try with this url: rtsp://192.168.1.10/live/h264/ch01 rtsp://192.168.1.10/live/h264/ch02 rtsp://192.168.1.10/live/h264/ch03 etc With AVC 798 this method WORKS perfectly. Tell us if it work with your KPD please
  6. Hi! 2 years ago i bought an AVTech 760AS, but... was stolen... So, i have to bought a new DVR. I need to have this functions: 1) D1 recording. 1 file por each camera. 2) D1 viewing by internet. 3) FTP Server inside (NOT Client) OR a url showing a JPG image for each camera (JPG better than mjpeg) (Better if needs a password). 4) Compatible with Android. 5) Send email when a physical alarm (connected to DVR) detect something. (It would be better if it had an schedule) 6) 16 CH/ 8CH (Better 16) Point 3: I mean that have a URL how http://www.dyndns.org:150/cgi-bin/Image.cgi?ch=5, that can show an screenshot of camera 5. This is not impossible, my last DVR can reproduce mjpg with this url: http://xxx.dyndns.org//cgi-bin/guest/Video.cgi?media=JPEG , but only for one cam. This is very useful to upload images to a server or generate files. I was searching for a cheap DVR that have this funcions, but only chinese and Avtech DVRs have a good price for a 16CH DVR. Whats the problem? 1) AVtech have a poor software. I can't believe the functions at their web because they have a lot of bugs... (Schedulings, ftp and email with an image attach) 2) With chinese DVRs i can check that there is two type of web software. One it's rubbish... they needs IE (ActiveX) to view cams over the internet. (Android & similar works, but it's very limited by the software 'meye'). The other o don't know... because i can't find a URL to check it. But I can distinguish by the pictures. Once type chinese web software (rubbish): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/16CH-H-264-Network-CCTV-DVR-Recorder-PTZ-Mobile-Monitor-/370530327750?pt=UK_CCTV&hash=item5645541cc6 Photo: http://image.inesun.com/uploadedimages1/201006/AJF8016B/Surptime-eBay/AJF8016B12761347994029.jpg You can cheack some example very easy... Only seach in google "NetServeillance WEB" Second type chinese web software: http://cgi.ebay.com/H-264-Net-Access-16-Ch-VIDEO-2-CH-AUDIO-DVR-CCTV-System-/120757897257?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c1dbb4829 Photo: http://www.anbere.com/10509N/660408/interface.jpg It's very important to me to send images or files to a server. The thief can take the DVR and with it the hard drive... I check that no one of cheap DVR's have FTP server, and FTP Client is not automatic and have very hight limitations... This is the reason that i have to play with mjpg and jpg urls. I try to cheack if the chinese horrible ActiveX software, get urls with commands, but i can get nothing with WireShark. Only binary information, not text with urls... I also tested in android (Shark), with the same result. (Note: i have the password and user for one specific url) In the other side... AVtech have a fantastic mjpg url (I had to look for myself) and allows to view quictime video with any media player. I don't know if with the latest DVR's have the ability to play one mjpg url for each camera.... Anyone know this?? And I think it only records a video for all cameras... For the alarm function, i saw that some DVR's have this functionality in their advertising. So... the questions is, Anyone know a cheap DVR that has these 6 features?? Sorry for my terrible English!! And thank you for your time!!! PD: Budget 150-260$ + shipping (Outside Europe) . 250-300€ + shipping (Europe)
