  3. Hello, I used to have some cheap-o PC based DVR system with an 16 Channel Eyemax card that lasted for nearly 5 years which was very surprising. I recently built a New PC with the following specs: Intel Core i5-3450 Quad-Core Processor 3.1 GHz 6 MB Cache LGA 1155 MSI Computer Corp. DDR3 1600 Intel LGA 1155 Motherboards (Z77A-G43) Samsung Electronics Extreme Low Voltage 30nm UDIMM 8 Dual Channel Kit DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) NZXT Source 210 -Inches ELITE-Inches Midtower Case with 3.0 USB - White 2 X Western Digital AV-GP 2 TB SATA II Intellipower 64 MB Cache Bulk/OEM Internal Hard Drive - WD20EURS Antec EarthWatts EA-380D Green 380 Watt 80 PLUS BRONZE Power Supply aVermedia NV6480EXP-E Hybrid DVR Card. The previous system that was installed also had half-assed power supply option which basically had a AC adapter plugged into the wall with spliced wires connected to them from the cameras to provide power. Now I have the proper power supply which is an ARM Electronics DCR 16-8-1-1UL- 16 Outputs, 8.4 Amps, Regulated, 12 VDC, Fused, UL Listed. Sorry for the long history about the System. About the Cameras... I have 5 of these. They look like this on the DVR system. This other camera. This other camera. This other camera. This other camera. (There is a tree branch and some spider webs, So its not clearly visible.) I also have another one that is on the roof which is not visible and has a broken mount which is just laying there. I is an infrared camera. I eventually plan on replacing all these camera's but not at the same time. I want to replace them slowly but I do not know which camera's to get. You can see what which one's i would need that require day/night. Any suggestions are very much appreciated. Sorry if the pictures don't do enough. If you need any other information that I can get... I will be more than happy to provide. Sorry for such a long post, and I appreciate all of your help. -Abe

best off understanding the avr ip list. if your saying use dahua why ????? change all his system just to run a budget camera so change his PC (that runs upto 48mp) for a limited dvr. axis...mobotix..... sony ...pano......cnb are all good ip .....or avers own if the op has a aver lets help him ........but please since dahua DOES NOT WORK ON ANY other nvr besides its own I have a great system for the price I paid... I chose Avermedia NV6480 because that is a powerful card. Yeah it may not be the best but it does what I want it to do. And all I need are decent camera's that are compatible with it to provide me with a decent picture. The camera's i have now are garbage and I want to replace them all eventually but slowly. But now I am in need of a camera it be analog or IP to test it out with the system to see if it does the job I want which is to provide a decent image as well as okay zoom if I need to get close up. Any suggestions Tom? Thanks!!!

http://www.averusa.com/surveillance/download/IP/NVSeries/IPCameraSupportListv7.0.0.124.pdf That is a list of the IP Camera Support of my card. I would like to start off buying one and see how well it does... Then if it suit's my needs I will buy slowly. My budget would say is 150-200 per camera. I know "You get what you pay for". Do you have any suggestions? See with this card that I have, How would I go about installing IP camera's to this card? what would I need besides the camera itself.
