    DVR Active Alarm Callout

Yes, I will have high speed internet connected to the DVR. But wouldn't I have to watch the system thru the internet all the time vs. getting alarms and then looking on-line if something tripped my indoor motion cameras? I won't have email on my cell phone so I am looking for some way to know an alarm happened without needing someone on-line watching it all the time. Thanks, Mike
  2. This "call out on motion alarm" is the primary feature I want on my DVR. I've only found it on one DVR (the Avtech AVD718 which is several years old). My question is this -- is there an additional service and fee associated with cellphone alarm notification or just the cellphone fees associated with any call? And where can I find a good DVR that supports this feature? Thanks, Mike

    Avtech AVD718

I'm not concerned about false trigger events. I plan to send alerts on motion sensors inside my home, so no false event should occur. My current cellphone does not receive email, although I am considering the newest samsung galaxy S2 which would have email. Did you mean costs associated with cellphone calls for events, or is there an additional service/system charging for active call out alerts? Thanks, Mike

The feature I most want is "active event call out to a cellphone". And I have only found it on this model (so far). Can you suggest a newer unit and guide me to a dealer? Thanks, Mike

I've run out of ideas in my attempt to locate this model or even any dealers who carry their equipment. I live in wisconsin and hope someone can offer ideas on this issue. Thanks, Mike
