i have been using the Maxtor for a long time. I like it, it's reliable. I have been using Maxtor hard drive in my DVR system. I prefer using 7200rpm since it can retrieve data faster. That's what we need in playback multi channels. http://www.mazonvision.com

as far as i know most DVR card is best compatible with XP SP2. Try to install XP, it should work fine.

i doubt will any DVR system support Treo650.

i have been avoiding to use any linksys product. Their quality has been going down for some reasons. Especially on the wireless connection. If you would like to remotely view the DVR, i would suggest you to drop that router. http://www.mazonvision.com

i think that's the bnc wiring problem. I had that kind of situation before. After i change the cable and tighten it up, it works just fine(assuming your camera is in perfect condition).
