Hi All Has anyone had dealings with this keyboard controller? I have the manual for the CC1 but the keyboard that I have not 100% the same on the back panel. I have attached a photo of mine and the pdf link for the ESD-CC1. Link: [http://www.touchboards.com/elmo/pdf/Elmo_ESD-CC1_UserManual.pdf] date code on mine is :0603-34018, I think this may be June 2003 not sure. I want to connect it to my VCL/Honeywell Orbiter Domes, I have 2 of these. Sorry for photo quality, my old age nerves. Edit:spelling.

hi have you tried right click on IE and pick run as administrator. then enter local DVR IP Hi I never set an administrator password on my pc. However I can get to the dvr with just 192.168.1.223/ It the asks for the dvr password, so no problem there, pc-to-dvr link seems ok. The problem is dvr to web and maybe web to dvr, as I can't get to another remote pc to try yet to see if i can link to the dvr from my mates pc, some 2 miles away. Everything seems to point to the Billion 7800n router, it is quite a complicated one to set up.

Hi The dvr gives me all my cctv cameras, no problem. I would like some help in getting my above dvr to talk to the www. This is for the time server setting, there are 4 times servers embedded in the Prokam Pro80001, 2 are ok and 2 are dead as far as pinging from the cmd in windows is concerned. They are as follows:- time.windows.com.........no ping time.nist.gov.................ok ping pool.nst.org..................no ping ntp.lorexddns.net...........ok ping I also need help in setting up the email alarm; I use hotmail as my email. I am on Win XP SP3 running my internet connection through a Billion 7800n ADSL+ router. I am sure that it is me and the fact that I have not opened a port, etc. So any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi. first is not to use www. for local (based on your IP above) enter http://192.168.1.223 and for your external click on this for your external ip http://www.whatismyip.com/ then enter http:// your external ip :9000 once everything is working you can then setup a DDNS account. Hi I have tried this to no avail. Please read other latest post above. Please keep the information as to what you think, coming in to me. Thanks

Hi Thanks for your reply. I have now set DNS1, DNS2 to the DNS1, DNS2 that is shown in my router on my WAN Profile. I have then tried using my outside ip :9000 to see the dvr, but still no joy. I went back to the dvr setup menu and chose the time setting using time.windows.com to update the clock. It takes around a good 10-15 minutes before it comes back with the reply time server not reachable!!!! So this tells me that if I can't reach the time server from the dvr, then I can't reach the dvr from the web. Something is stopping it dead in its tracks. I know its me and my lack of knowledge!!! My windows XP SP3 pc has the firewall turned off, the machine is also running norton internet security 2013 and my router is a Billion BiPac 7800n

Hi Thank you for the reply. In answer to you email questions. 1) I think that I have opened up port 9000 on the Billion 7800n router, as this router is new to me, I am still finding my way around the setup. The DVR has IP 192.168.1.223 assigned as a static address. 2) I can see my external IP, using "canyouseeme.org" 3) Yes, I think I understand you as to the time servers. I can ping them, but they cannot update the DVR because of the open/forward ports problem. I think that I need someone with specific knowledge on the Billion7800n router, although this should apply to most routers, yes?????? So any further help from you would be appreciated, or if you can point me in the correct direction.

Controlling PTZ Dome with DVR & Joypad
binbags replied to PEJ's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi Just jumping in and would like to ask you about your Prokam setup. If you look at my latest post I need a little help with my Prokam Pro8001, on time set and email alerts. You may have an easy way of setting this up. I would appreciate your help, as you have the same unit as me. Thanks. Alan -
Hi I have just about tried every combination of baud rate, protocol on the keyboard, camera switch settings, address and protocol Pelco-D and -P. As I said LED D5 on the main PCB of the camera is lighting and flickering with the data pulses. I have used my scope to check the RS485 signals, all seems well. These signals from the keyboard are very similar to the signals from my DVR AVC782 by Avtech; this would not operate the camera as well. So my conclusion is the two dome cameras that I have are not compatible with either the DVR or the keyboard, which is annoying as both pieces of kit can handle Pelco-D and P, one of the cameras should be at least able to handle this as well. Both of the dome cameras have the "type" setting 4 way switch on, only one has the "address dil switch" on, making this camera settable from 001 and up, where the latter one is at 001 only. Help, help, please!!!! One way or the other. Edit; Attach scope screen shot

Hi My keyboard controller is now, I am sure made by "Dynacolor" not Elmo, although they do a variation of it. The manual can be found here [http://www.kelryan.com/Ness_CCTV_Security_Systems/Ness_Ultimate_keyboard_user_manual_rev2.3.pdf] it comes in various re-badged boxes as well. I have connected up D-, D+ and SGN ground. I have set the address switch on the dome to 001 and protocol to Pelco D. Led, D5 on the dome flashes, so some form of data is reaching the dome. By using the setup sequence on the keyboard, you can search for equipment connected via the rs485, but the display comes back with the reply "no response found" I have tried the data lines the other way round, but it is still the same. Beginning to think the VCL domes are not easy to work with.
