Just installed another cam and I messed up on a step. I have corrected it.

I figured out how to do this. Bought a Android mini pc stick and used a VGA to HDMI converter box which I had laying around. The pc stick has wifi and it allows me to down load the Hikvizion app. After configuring it I can see my cameras like I can on my iphone. So other than installing a way to power the 3 devices in the wall it will be a perfect installation.

Im assuming you setup is a POE setup. alias.....(whatever you want to name it your choice) register mode..... HiDDNS / IP/Domain / IP server (nothing here) server address......... (the Ip address of whichever camera you want to add keep in mind that each camera has its own ip address) identifier......... (the port assigned to it) user name........(your username or admin by defult) password.....(your password or 12345 by default) all this can be change with the installation disk the cameras came with. Im a noob and this is how I got mine going on my iphone. My cameras are POE so hope this helps.

I have my poe camera all setup. My computer is in a room but I have a extra VGA monitor that I would like to install inside a wall around the entrance area. Is there a way to splitethe image to that monitor without having to run a long VGA cable to the PC?

Yes it is a window base pc. I will need to see if my firewall is blocking my ports or not. thks

So I've been stuck trying to configure this for 3 mths now. I have set my computer to a static ip address. I go in to my router settings and froward the ports 9091 & 9092 to the static address. But when I use a port froward checker online is says the ports are closed to that static addy but open on the external ip addy. Is this correct????

It seems like my software doesnt use the built -in. I have connected a mic to the comp but no sound. So im guessing I will need some sort of sound card maybe and integrate it to my capture card??
