Unfortunately, I use what Verizon FIOS supplies and it does not allow this feature. Router is Actiontec M1424WR.

I guess I will have to purchase a router than enables this feature. Thanks!

Excuse my ignorance on this subject. I'm not sure what you mean by "You can configure your DVR straight to DynDns" I was under the assumption that you needed a client to update DynDns whenever your ISP assigned you a new WAP IP address. Can you elaborate for me? Is it possible for the Dahua to do this?

Do the Dahuas have a built in webserver? For example dos46.something.com, will route to my dvr so I can view on web? I know there are services like dyndns, but that would require either a router to have dyndns capable (which I dont) or to have a pc on 24/7 so that the new WAP can update. I'd prefer a DVR to have this built in.

How do you paint them? Do you remove all the 'guts' then spray them?

hi. this can do what you need. http://www.averusa.com/surveillance/productdetail.aspx?id=90 Is this system reliable? Kind of like set it up and have it run 24/7?

Will this allow customizing user settings? In particular, setting up a user ONLY to be able to view live feed but be able to select which camera to be viewing (multiples too). While a user is logged, can the main dvr (admin user) go into playback of recorded material without affected the logged in user watching live feed? I want to be the only one able to view recorded content but I want user users at another location to be able to watch live feed only.

Can any stand-alone DVR accomplish what I am looking to do?

This is what I need accomplished: Location 1 - All rights (Supervisor/master user). Viewing live feed and be able to go back and view recorded data. When this location views recorded data, location 2 is not affected and is still viewing live feed. Location 2 - Viewing live feed of any of the 32 cameras. The user here can select any camera or multiple cameras. Not being able to go and view recorded data. Can I accomplish this by building a system using 2 x V-1480A at location 1 and using another computer at location 2 to login independently to location 1 via LAN? Is there a way I can accomplish this without using 2 computers? TIA
