IP MPX camera in the night club (?)
drvcrash replied to Maniek's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Im using an Axis q1755 in 720p mode for our club. Though im using it for more of a webcam for the stage than security but not much motion blur. here is some examples of the output from it http://www.youtube.com/user/fagersisland The one of the Kiss tribute band are full res taken from axis cam station. The others are from the web client at lower resolution -
MegaPixel Cameras - Images and Demos
drvcrash replied to rory's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
finally got my Axis p1347 up. Here is a noon and midnight shot -
Im trying to schedule when the sound on my q1755 turns on and off. It works fine to turn the sound on but no matter what i try it wont turn it off. In the event server i have this as my url http://192.168.100.89/axis-cgi/param.cgi?action=update&AudioSource.A0.MicrophonePower= and in the event type i put in the custom parameters i put either yes or no to turn it on or off. If i send either url to the camera just using the browser it works fine. But for some reason when the event sends "no" it puts in a "?" and the camera is confused. It does not put in the question mark when it sends the "yes" Anybody? I was trying do do this which the db level option and it was doing the excat same thing when ever I would send it the "Mute" command

I just setup a new exacq system using the 45 day 4 camera demo to see if i want to change over from the axis software. The weird thing is every time I add one of my cameras (axis) it crashes the camera as soon as i make any change to fps or stream type etc. I then have to kill power to the camera to restart it. Ive tried about 6 different axis cameras and it does it to them all. Is Exacq not Axis friendly?

drvcrash replied to drvcrash's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions

VMS viewing station CPU usage
drvcrash replied to RedSq's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
no , the p1347 is h.264, the 212 ptz is mpeg4 , the others are all mjpg. I agree Milestone seems to not like the 2mp + h.264 cameras. When I remove it from the system it settles down to about 8%. I Cant even get Exacq to load that camera. -
VMS viewing station CPU usage
drvcrash replied to RedSq's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
My newer sandybridge corei5 system averages about 25% cpu viewing 5 cams on Milestone Go. one is the axis 5mp , one a 720p and the other 3 are just sd. Milestone seem to be heavy cpu. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2448119/milestone-cpu.JPG -
Milestone vs ExacqVision
drvcrash replied to nyckylim's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
i have 4 cameras on both on them. I forgot the one i was getting 4fps was actually recording to camera station. Went in and disabled it in there and now im getting 30fps. per camera. i guess it cant do multiple streams at 30 of the same camera at a time. I tested my single port one also and it gets 30 too -

anyone know how is this sold I see no pricing or dealer info on their site at all.
-
im seeing that now. does work pretty good detecting people in places they should be though from what testing ive done. Is there a product you could suggest for people counting?
-
I was thinking of trying it in a couple of my axis camera for people counting . Im just starting to play with the demo right now. Just curious the cost as i have looked into a complete package from Flonomics and was looking for something without an ongoing monthly cost

AXIS cameras - no problems?
drvcrash replied to Maniek's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
i wouldn't recommend the Q1755 for anything low light. I have on for my Main stage here and its horrible. -
Network Utilization question
drvcrash replied to mike_va's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
right now im running Axis Camera Station on a Core 2 Duo with 4gb ram with 5 2tb drives with a gigabit nic recording 31 cameras the bandwidth varies throughout the day but its is handling it fine. I think the biggest thing is to spread your camera recording across many drives
