Last night I made a mount for a Cnb bullet that uses conduit runs for support so I can record the pinsetters. If any of you are curious as to how pinsetters operate/look I can post a video(camera isn't backfocused yet, I have to get a ndf so the image isn't perfect.) Just let me know. More then happy to do it for you.

Like viewpoint crm? Or are you looking to intergrate a customer relationship manager software, for point of sale and such?

There are tons of apps for remote view. Adpro and heitei suggest this app http://www.sourcesecurity.com/e/http://www.heitel.com should work, I also believe it is currently free(at least the version for Droid is free.) Good luck. Google is useful, I would check comparability with the model you currently have. Also make sure the dvr is up to date.

I'm far from an expert. I have wired a few houses for cable(directv). Sadly the only feesable way w/o running more cables, would be a diplexer http://m.radioshack.com/radioshack/product/detail.do?itemId=2103927 You would need on diplexer at the distribution box, with the cable and dvr runs going into it. You will also need one at every tv. Higher quality is better(cat 5, or 6 cable, as well.) Hope this helps. I haven't tried above method. I have used it to send sat, and over the air signals ie antenna, and satellite, or dual satellites. So in theory it should handle it. Of you have satellite now ot may already be there(diplexer). Depending on your box's location you could wire a switch box on. Somewhere easily accessible. Downfall of that would be you could only watch the cameras, or cable.

Long of the short. Basically I work in a bowling alley. The owners spent a large amount of money on an audio, and security system. The installers food a sub par job to say the least. Dvrs 3 spec tech 16 ch tn series 1 speco tech 8 channel th series newly added Current known camera models Honey well hd51, and hd70 or 73 the ir fixed model Various other makes and models in parking lot. newly added Nuvico cb-hd39n-l Cnb weatherproof it day/night So we have 16 cameras in the parking lot. The cables were ran in pvc pipes to light posts, 4 posts 4 cams each. The pipe from the building to the first pole filled with water. I think the pipe cracked and the irrigation fills it 4 days a week. I want to take the cameras down and install inside the building. So I need to cover the lot. My idea 3 higher end ptz cameras(bullets or dome). Size 220 ft wide(parallel to face of building) 250 ft out. Starts roughly 35 ft from building. 15 ft high camera placement. The weather is dry and most of the time(in az) Parking lot is decently lit. Repairing pipe and replacing wire would cost roughly 1500 if I do the labor. I really don't wanna do it. So basically I need suggestions when it comes to cameras. Will three work? I can probably spend 3500 to 4k. Also do the ptz cams run their own cycles constantly? I would need wired. Can a camera be rented, to test? I am on a phone, I am more then happy to call and talk if it would be easier... on here is fine as well. Thanks Aaron

If you have Droid, and your laptop is wireless no problem. They have find of apps. Heads up laptops will use a lot of data so make sure you have an unlimited plan.

Which software, for computer, or dvr?
-
Can you get an ip address? Use the osd menu on the dvr, try to find the version. Or any series of numbers, letters, or numbers/letters and Google them. Something should come up, and get you closer to the make and model. Otherwise, See if there is an option to reset network. That should give you a static ip. (174.658.0.75 example) Enter a port number(80 for example). It goes on the end of the ip. Like :80 Type in browser(explorer) address bar like this http://174.658.0.75:80 Windows should automatically download software.

I have to run new cables. I figured on choosing a cable when I found the camera that would fit budget and capability needs. I plan on cameras costing about 1000 to 1200 each. Still researching controller, and service monitors(probably end up using my phone or a smaller tv. This project has been crazy. Repairing the sound system was a nightmare. Now the security system has taken it to whole different level. Currently learning back focusong. Have to buy a filter tomorrow. Then figure out how to solve staying in nightvision problem, on the Nuvico's and Cnb's. Gotta love a challenge. -

Hi, my name is Aaron, most people call me higg. I am new to video security. Currently working as a mechanic and manager at a bowling alley. One day I was filling out my log book, when out of nowhere a leperchaun with the stealth skills of ninja put a note on my back. Make these cameras work... So here I am, a grease monkey, learning the one and outs of cctv. I have read these forums time and time again, finally registered. Looking forward to learning more, and hopefully teaching a bit myself.

I had a similar problem on a tn series dvr.(no balon though) I had cameras installed directly to metal, which caused interference. Something worth looking at.

Not recording any of the cameras. The location of the warning doesn't necessarily correlate to that specific camera.

Posting on a phone is a pain, sorry for the reply. I posted the other cameras , because I plan to get a controller as well. The cameras inside have given me problems staying in night mode. I believe I can adjust, or restore factory default from the osd. Side note, I have been self teaching myself. I have used this forum a lot. Kudos to the techs who stay involved. No other forum for security cams I have seen, has this many people willing to help out.
