  1. Ok, thanks for very informative asnwers! I thought up one cheap alternative: if I buy a webcam with good picture, remove the infrared filter and buy one additional IR light. This should me a lot more easyer to install. I need to lighten up about 5 meters and I also have one usual backyard light, that is always on. Also need a good software for this. But still, which software to use. I prefer some good one (even shareware).
  2. But can I use this adapter with other good softwares? Can other softwares (like for webcams) read the signal and save and record this picture? Can anybody comment the picture quality of such system?
  3. I need to build a really cheap system for filming my dark back yard for about a month. I have a laptop and an ebay account, also I am ready to use some trial software for recording motion only picture. Is it possible, to use a infrared CCTV camera with RCA outputs as a webcam? So is there any cheap adapter to get the signal from RCA and bring it to USB or PCMCIA slot? I found from ebay that infrared CCTV camera for about $13 And that kind of adapters, are any of them suitable? or If you can recommend any good shareware software too, then let me know.
