I've had no luck obtaining the password from anyone as it appears that it may have been changed several times. Does anyone know if a hardware reset will lose the stored video?

Hi, I have a AVC760 DVR which has had the password changed by a previous member of staff and we cannot now access the unit. If I carry out a hardware reset will that have any effect on the video that is saved on the DVR. We had a break in this week and now need to pass the footage to the police but obviously can't access it. I don't want to do a reset and loose the video as I am trying to get the password from a few people who may know it although it is a slim chance.
