Any idea how I can install the camera and illuminator? which the minimum distance?

Good Night Guys. I'm having some problems related to reflective plates Here in Brazil we have some reflective plates. By illuminating this car using an illuminator to go, the entire board is white, looks like a mirror .. if I reduce the power illuminator I can see the white background and the letters / numbers in black, however I do not see the details of the car. Is there any way to lighten the vehicle and avoid the reflection of this board? because I need to see the same picture with details and the car plate without reflection. I realized that a little distancing illuminator camera reflection decreases. I await suggestions. thank you John

I use the ltc0498 for application of ANPR. However I am having problems with image quality compared to 0495. the image of 0498 seems less than that of 0495. Anyone have any configuration used for this type of application? I'm in Brazil ... Excuse my English.
