  1. I think Multivision(HK) has implemented this idea in a very good way: http://www.multivisionusa.com/demon-dual.html What's wrong with axis if I may ask? If it's the price, than this one is pc-based and isn't cheaper.
  2. Glad to hear that. You're welcome
  3. Mail sent, although I think your problem is with your hardware or OS configuration.
  4. I've emailed you 2 weeks ago. Do you need it again?

    Palm m505

Palm Desktop is what you need to sync your palm with outlook. You might have incompatibility issues with older palm software running on newer OS. You can download it from palms' web site: http://www.palmone.com/us/support/m505/ It requires PalmOS v4.0 or later.
  6. http://www.athenatech.us/a100.htm You can read a review and see some photos here: http://www.tomshardware.com/howto/20031209/case-09.html http://www.x-trememodz.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=25 you might wanna check these as well: http://www.ttgiusa.com/product/pccase/101_all.htm
  7. It won't fit. You can try one of these: http://www.citycase.com.tw/showroom-items.asp?ser=100 You can easily find them in the US.
  8. The problem seems to be exactly as you described. found some info here: http://www.epanorama.net/documents/groundloop/video_isolation.html the image looks exactly as the one I get. I will look more into it. Thanks a lot.
  9. I have a client who uses a a remote controlled underwater vehicle to clean large drinking-water pools. He's running 150M of RJ60 Coaxial cable for the transmission and controlling the self-made sealed P/T camera that is attached to the vehicle. Together with it he runs some 220V and 380V cables for the vehicle's engines. My client couldn't get a reasonable picture until he was advised to install the following unit: http://www.sctltd.co.uk/acatalog/info_EXT4.html Now he can get a clear picture, but when vehicle's engines are working he gets interference. The interference gets severe as more cable is inside the water. I'm thinking of redesigning the system and change cables/transmission technology, and looking for something that will not be affected by the environment (water) and the magnetic field that the power cables produce. I'm thinking about fiber, but am not familiar with the technology or pricing. I would like to ask you for your ideas/experienced advice about this. Thanks.
  10. 3 capture cards plus a vga card is not recommended because card in 1st PCI slot will absorb too much heat from the VGA card (unless it is well cooled). Other than that, a dvr card in the 1st slot is not recommended since this slot shares resources with AGP. For up to 8 channels the onboard 32MB shared VGA on SiS based motherboards will work fine with most dvr cards. No special drawbacks.
  11. http://www.directron.com/sstlc01.html looks nice, but costs more like an IPC case.
  12. I-Star makes very nice IPC cases especially for dvr's: http://www.imageshape.com Unless you are willing to use Micro-ATX board, I don't think you have a choice for a nice desktop case. But if you do, this one is best value (~50$ with 300W PSU) and looks good. The PSU is good as well: http://www.compucase.com.tw/product/product_b.asp?id=12# US office is here: http://www.hecgroupusa.com/ Take into note that most of those nice looking desktop cases that looks like a standalone dvr are useless for your application, since they are too low for a standard PCI card to fit in them, and only allow Low-Profile ones.
  13. Got a sample of this card, which came with software in chinese, so I'm looking for the one in english. Any help appriciated.
  14. No clue about the source of this card, but it sure looks like intended for the chinese market.
  15. hehe, Thanks Cooperman, i'll check this out.
  16. The problem lies in customer support, so that even if you've built your system of good components and configured it right, some dvr applications, like Diginet for example, are too complicated for the average end-user to deal with. MagicRadar, which you call lame, is just for the example, much more user friendly and easier for you as an installer to support. Each card and its' application has advantages and disadvantages, and I believe you should take the clients' convenience into consideration when choosing your preferred card, since his convenience is in most cases your peace of mind. Another problem is preventing the end-user from using the dvr computer for other tasks like surfing the net, especially the Israeli user, so it is advised to charge for supprot caused by improper use of the dvr system by your clients. This is the main reason for the increased demand for standalone dvr's, which can used for nothing more than recording video.
  17. Which dvr cards supports PocketPC's and how good are the image and transmission speed? Anyone has experience with that?
  18. Thank you all. I will try kodicom first, since I've got a smaple here.
  19. It's not possible to make it work right.
  20. Wahloon, do you have any expirience with direct burial cables? Interesting Cooperman. Please PM me some links and prices, since I don't think I can find those here in Israel. By the way, I currently reading something about using fiber for underwater vehicles equiped with cctv cameras, and it seems to become a standard in these kind of applications.

    I-View USA

No offence Tom, but I think that unless you answer questions for everyone to be able to read, this kind of communication should be done on I-View's board
