  1. Hi everyone. I'm in the process of installing a 4Cam setup with an Apollo DVR. It has BNC/VGA/HDMI Outputs on it. I'm planning on installing the DVR in the loft - as last time the burglars got in they routed through absolutely everything and would've nicked the DVR too! TV Set is the following: Toshiba 24" Upstairs bedroom with Inbuilt Freeview Samsung 32" Downstairs with Sky I'm planning on using http://www.cameras-cctv.com/DVR-Accessories/Remote-Control-Extender to be able to control the DVR in the loft. How would I go about getting both TV's to display the CCTV Picture? What is the best time/cost effective way? I've read alot about using analgoue multiplexors and internal boosters (That way I guess I could have sky upstairs!) but how would that work with a skybox as its digital ? Cheers

What do you think of this camera?

I'm bascially looking at buying 3 Outside camera's, I'd like the quality at night to be semi decent! Looking to spend £100 + VAT. What will the different lens give me? is the IR Cut Filter something that is likely to cause problems with picture clarity?

    How does this system look?

I've never specc'd a system before - so please let me know!! Would anyone recommend anything else? Am i wasting my money? I'm based in London, and can't seem to find many suppliers of the favoured dahua DVR's so have to go with AVTECH. DVR - http://www.iviewcameras.co.uk/Avtech_CCTV_H.264_4_Channel_Networked_DVR_Full_D1__25FPS_USB_VGA_Remote_DVD_AVC793ZCD/version.asp?PID=2#top CAMERAs - http://www.iviewcameras.co.uk/UTC_IR_BULLET_CAMERA_700TVL_4-9MM_VF_LENS_30M_IR_12V_DC_UTC-105/version.asp?PID=51 Many thanks Rob
  7. A few days ago we got burgled by some youths and lost alot of stuff. I've dabbled about with camera's for a while now, and I'm not interested in bodging together anymore IP camera's with activewebcam!! I want to start a new system, with a Network DVR Recorder - but it seems every system I've tried in the last 5 years has had a massive floor - Night time clarity (They've all been horrendous) Can anyone recommend a system with decent night time vision? I'm after 2 to 4 Cams and DVR Anything upto £500. Many thanks.
