  1. I work in various primary schools and we use a tool to to record teachers teaching. This is then watched back by the teacher and a learning mentor to help improve teaching standards. The tools we currently use run in the 1000s per year just for the subscription, I'm currently investigating if we could create something similar. I'm looking for a IP PTZ camera that has a black surround around it so you can't see the camera moving. Ideally looking at a 2mb one with a decent zoom. Price wise i'm looking at under £500

    Phone software for the XDH16

It's not working, do we need to update the firmware at all? It says it's connected but then "no response"

  4. Hi, We have an XDH16 box and would like to be able to view from a mobile phone. Either Android or Iphone. Does anyone know of any software that will work with this DVR? thanks
  5. Thanks for that, reading on here would you recommend a geovision card?
  6. Hi, I'm looking into developing my own PC based CCTV system, I have 4 analog camera's (1 with PTZ). I'm trying to source a capture card, I'm a little unsure on what features to look for. Currently looking at a cheapy one > http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/H-264-CCTV-4-8-16Ch-Video-8Ch-Audio-200-240fps-CCTV-Camera-DVR-PCI-Capture-Card-/320879812725#ht_5645wt_900 Am i correct in thinking i need to look at the framerates? i.e the above one is 200fps (PAL) i would get a max framerate 25fps based on 8 camera's? I should also point out that this is just a project at home (not going to sell it or anything) but i'd still like it to to produce a fairly decent picture. thanks in advance
  7. Hi, I'm looking at buying an IP CCTV camera as i'm planning on writing some cctv software, It will be placed on the front of the house pointing at the driveway (About 20 meters). I'm looking at doing number plate recognition, but would like IR on the camera. Do these interfere with each other? i.e the number plate reflect the ir back into the camera? Also it would need to be a camera that output's a standard video formart. Does anyone have any recommendations? thanks, Nathan
