firmware update will not do HARM IT SHOULD HELP for the motion to work on X11 you have to set the timer for it set 24/7 timer for motion and that will fix your issue

change your Hard drive and the SATA cable

if the DVR boot and stay on the H.264 logo you are in luck put the latest firmware on USB 1039 i think plug it in then short TP5/TP6 do not take off the paper clip until you see the the flash recovery screen easy fix realy nice work on all AVTECH DVR

flush back to 1021 it will fix the issue i think 1022 is not 100%

like dpzle said just set the "SMTP server" for "smtp.gmail.com" and Port for "465" this is the only way gmail will work
