With these "low end" pre-packaged systems, if you don't expect much, then you won't be disappointed. They are what they are so to speak. Nothing to write home about.
Probably ok for someone just getting started with camera systems.
If you had an outdoor dome camera, you could apply some Novus #2 Plastic Polish to the dome periodically. Any 'overspray' from the powder coating floating through the air should not be able to stick to the plastic dome.
Some power supply boxes can use the Mean Well model S-150-12 single output (it has a screw terminal strip) 12 volt @ 12.5 ampere enclosed switching regulator power supply. It is also sold by Jameco Electronics as their stock number 123423 for $34.95
It is UL approved.
I bought a brand new Digital Labs model DT191SA on ebay for dirt cheap. It has an audio/video input cable and with an RCA to BNC adapter plugged onto it, you can feed the security camera signal right into it. The tv has a 7" screen so it makes it easy to adjust the camera.
I use Toggler brand "SnapToggle" wall anchors. The BA series have 10-24 threads and the BB series have 1/4"-20 threads.

The threaded 'nut' stays in the hollow cinder block so you can remove the screw as many times as you want.
