  1. Have a chat with the guys at - http://www.cctvdirect.co.uk

Personally i dont install IR based cameras due to the spiders loving them to web all over.

Look at a seperate IR illuminator if thats the way you want to go or a lighting solution to get your camera back into colour mode, Is the external lighting outside your Shop?

    Hi, thanks for your response,

Spiders wont be a problem as the cameras are to be fitted in a food production unit which is cleaned daily, I will talk to the company you mentioned tomorrow.

    There is no lighting externally

  2. This is my first post so Hello to everyone here,

I have a little knowledge of cctv from a few yrs ago, but as time/technology has moved on so quickly im a little behind and need some help.

I'm wanting to use all external IR cameras (even though im using some inside shop) as I may need to transfer system to another location and use it externally at a later date. Is there any problems with this?

I need a system for my new shop and am wanting a good quality system, info of system needs/wants:

Shop floor area: 4.76m width x 8m length - 2 x External Mini IR dome cameras here, 1 x over looking till area with audio feed and 1 x near entry/exit

External shop front: 1 x IR Camera (housed) viewing shop front + entry/exit

Office area: 1 x External Mini IR dome camera here

    DVR

I've been reading a little lately and I've decided that I want a dvr which is capable of recording at least 25fps at full D1 therefore i need cameras which are also of that quality. I would like the DVR to be capable of controlling a PTZ should I need one later, I also need the capability of viewing via Android phone and my windows based pc at home. I will only need 4 channels but may consider an 8 channel dvr, I want to view images on a pc monitor at location that I have spare. Backup via USB needed.

    Cameras

I would like to use ones with Sony's effio-e chipset (read good things)

    3 x ext IR domes

    1 x housed IR

Would you change/recommend anything with this setup?

Can anyone recommend which brand/where to buy from please?

    Is Pixim worth considering?

    Any advice is gratefully received

    Regards

    Jody
